Jim has asked me kindly to take the overlords around for a trip in my space shuttle to show them that the earth is round thus respecting his contract of not leaving the country.

Being a multi-billionaire, I can afford to put hydrogen in my space shuttle and take them.

He also didn't need to have money as I am doing this volountarily.

Assuming the overlords can accept the perspective convergence of anti crepuscular rays as proof of the coherence of setting sunlight, it still does not prove a spherical earth. If the sun is a local spot light that "sets" by moving horizontally far away then the light still reaching the observer would naturally be more coherent than during the rest of the day.

Most of modern science was built on simple reproducible experiments you can do at home with inexpensive equipment. How will anyone discover new properties of the universe if they can't even devise experiments to measure the truth of existing "facts" without relying on an argument from authority?

edit: the answer you have is likely a lot simpler and nicer to look at, rather not spend a bunch of time doing proofs only to have a post that is like 2 sentences as the answer ;-;

Poor Jim he was unable to prove to his overlords that the earth is a sphere.

What Jim should have done is thought carefully about the fictional forces produced by a rotating spherical body.

Since Shité is equatorial some of the country is in the northern hemisphere and some is in the southern hemisphere.

If he had built a Foucault pendulum in the north, and one in the south he could demonstrated with that the precession is always reversed across the equator line. After demonstrating this in his first week he could then built an arbitrary number in each hemisphere to demonstrate that it is always the case.

There is no way to explain the opposite precessions across the equator line on a flat earth. The "equator line" on a flat earth is not special, it is just half radius. It would be difficult if not impossible to produce this effect on a flat earth even if you could put whatever machinery you liked under the plane.
