Is suicide right or wrong?

Alright guys, good opinions, but stop flaming phinal, it's his opinion.

You've got a point but sometimes it's through reasons unrelated to losing the will to live that people kill themselves.

Can you get arrested for it :L?

 

Each to his own. I wont judge anyone if they do it as I've been there before and I know how horrible it feels.

 

Sure suicide isn't a good thing, but it's your body, your life. You can do what you want with it. Everyone has the right to die or live, it's not up to anyone but the person on what they want to do with it.

 

I think that it's cowardly and if someone wants to do it just think about your family and how it will affect them.

 

Well, in some states, attempted suicide is a crime.

 

I say it depends on your situation. If you are being tortured or in tons of pain then I would say yes, it's right. However if it's because you have emotional problems then, no...See a physiologist.

 

Honestly, I don't think that ending your life is a good way to handle your problems :s

Its suicide. Its your body, do what you want with it. but even if it wasnt your body and it was illegal, i mean...you're dead. what are they gonna do, arrest your body? yell at you?

Its a little cowardly though I can see why people do it. However, since you dont know what life after death is, and you're going to experience it eventually anyway, why not live out the rest of your life, even if it is crappy?

 

As long as you pay your parents back the cost of raising you, I don't see a problem.

Parents expect to see a return on their investment at some point.

 

I think it's a pretty unreasonable way to handle your present situation, but I can't stop you from doing what you want with your body.
Though I'd rather someone try to find an alternative for handling their situation.

I Love Suicide

 

Suicide is not for cowards. If you are being tortured, for like, 20 years, you would want to die. If you're already nearing your end (let's say someone has you at gunpoint), it's better to kill yourself than let someone else have the glory.

 

It's quite cowardly thing to do in my opinion. Just deal with your life.
Can't stop anyone from doing it if they really want though.

 

I see no need for you to say "Stupid Religion Fags" as a off topic mod and a person you should at the least respect the fact that people have the right to believe what ever they want and not be criticized for it... You don't see me saying "Stupid Atheists Fags" just because I believe different...

Suicide is a coward’s way out in my opinion. If you can't deal with life then in my eyes you’re a coward. I just think that it not only is the biggest sin you can commit, but its a pussy way out. Stay strong and pull through what ever it is. There is so many ways you can pull through what ever it is, and if you can't they make half way houses

 

too many people here are operating under the false assumption that god, heaven, and hell exist.

 

I don't see why suicide would be a bad thing.
Lets say a person has cancer and there is no chance of a cure,
This person has a lot of pain and wants to die.
Would you say it is a bad thing if this person wants to kill him/her self?

In my opinion everyone should have the right to choose whatever he/she wants, like Louis said "My body my rules" Period

 

Just because Life is a good thing, does not mean that Death is a bad thing.

It doesn't defy your duty to God as there is no real scripture in the bible that condemns Suicide

If your state of misery and suffering is being passed onto other people in your society, ending your life would be honourable as you would not want others to suffer

It doesn't defy our duty to ourselves as no man ever threw away a life worth keeping. You are not doing yourself a favour by living longer if you are suffering so badly for no reason.
