Legalize Marijuana?

The tar is a result of incomplete combustion of plant material, just like the tar in tobacco smoke. Not much to do about it.

 

I'm all up for it, as long as people don't become extremely lazy.

 

Weed isn't half as bad as cigarettes. and is less harmful than tylonol which is available in almost every single household!

 

Yes. I wouldn't use it more or less if it was legalized BUT it would

A) Eliminate what most large gangs thrive on
B) Cost the government less money (i.e accommodating 'criminals' in prisons)
C) Reduce the dangers (i.e buying your stuff off of a crazy-ass dealer/is my pot laced with something?)

I dont understand why weed is illegal in the first place. Its no worse than alcohol.

I currently go to a high school and would like to inform you that it is already extremely easy for "young ones" to start.
In most places in the world... it is easier to buy marijuana underage than it is to buy alcohol because since it is illegal to sell marijuana anyway, dealers don't care who they sell it to but there are no alcohol dealers that don't care because alcohol isn't illegal.

It would not be easier for young ones to start. It would be harder. If it was able to be regulated legally like alcohol...think about it..

How many kids do you see getting alcohol? hardly any until high school at best at which time its ok in my opinion to try some weed. But either way, regulation of cannabis would just make it harder for kids to get. its easier when they can buy it from any dealer who doesnt give a shit what age they are.

Also you somehow jump to the conclusion that they would try more dangerous drugs and shit....your an idiot. Marijuana is NOT a gateway drug. the only reason kids might go to another drug is because their street gangster dealer offers it to them when they go to buy weed. So again, the legalization and regulation of weed would stop these kids from being exposed to other, more dangerous drugs.

Honestly I don't think legalizing it would stop the drug cartels, but I'm still for legalization. The reason I believe this is because taxes will be as high as cigarettes (if not higher) and people with less money will still seek more inexpensive marijuana from non-government sanctioned dealers.

If you look at statistics, Alchol is much worse for you then weed. Yet alchol is legal? . Just one of many arguement why it should be legalized. Although I wouldent like the fact that it would more then likely be controlled by goverment much like cigarettes.
