    Legalization of marijuana

I'm not going to put forth any facts or statistics for you all because I'm sure everyone else has argued enough over it.

I am for decriminalizing marijuana. I don't believe it's addicting (from personal experience), yet I smoke it every day. I smoke cigarettes as well and I know I'm addicted to them, so I know the feeling of addiction. The reason people keep smoking pot is because it feels good, not because they're addicted.

    Legalization of marijuana

Yeah, and unfortunately for you, you got stuck with idiots.

Marijuana isn't addictive. Killing someone while on it is a load of shit too.

It is very taxable. The reasons it's banned are:
    Racism
    Fear
    Protection of Corporate Profits
    Yellow Journalism
    Ignorant, Incompetent, and/or Corrupt Legislators
    Personal Career Advancement and Greed

I agree. Abuse of the system for people who literally need it to cope with life shouldn't be tolerated.

Yes. It's the safest recreational drug we have.

Marijuana isn't a gateway drug. People are already doing it, legalizing it will just have more productive citizens out of jail and functioning in society, which means we'll be able to spend taxes on worthwhile things, while will enhance everyone's life.

Marijuana isn't addictive. Tough shit on you if you're addicted to the idea of getting high, I'm not and my recreational use has enhanced my life. If you suffer from attacks/depression/mood swings then just stay the fuck away from it, not everyone gets along with marijuana. For us people(the vast majority) who DO get along with marijuana, leave us be.

    Legalization of marijuana

You know why marijuana is illegal?
well to start off, Rastafarian belief is that you smoke marijuana to connect your soul with the environment, open your mind. If we have pot smokers here, it is evident that your mind opens up to everything in the world, corruption and what not. Hense Bob Marley singing about everything that was wrong in this world because his belief and understanding was much greater than the average joe. He was murdered by the government because of this.

Although if weed was to be legal and every body smoked it we would then become to realize how corrupted everything was. Just think of life this way, we are just an ant farm running around doing our everyday deeds. Which is damn true, no-body takes a second to think against our society because we are autonomous. Weed opens your mind up to this and if every body's mind was open then how could the government run the way it does if no body can be persuaded into these illiterate beliefs.

This goes way past the taxation and money sides of marijuana.

    Legalization of marijuana

Just got done having a nice chat on Trade - City about the legalization of Marijuana... I won ^.^. Reminded me of this thread, so here I am.

Yet you value a piece of paper that has no real value to it? Hemp can be used for multiple things and has more utility than a dollar bill...

I would say that your friend is very intelligent with his investments. Spend all of your money on that shit, in the end... you'll be on top.. (if you don't blow it all, that is ;)).

Now, where to begin with this moron...

I'm guessing you're... what... 12 years old? There's a reason that age limits are applied to certain things. Cigarettes, Alcohol, Pornography... they all have age requirements for a VERY good reason. Because people who are younger than such ages are PROVEN to be incapable of taking care of themselves or making good decisions.

You're not addicted, you're just stupid.

    http://encyclopedia.smokersclub.com/4.html

People kill each other for the most retarded reasons. In fact, drug crimes are very high, murder being one of them in relation to gang violence. Legalizing it will change this, and PREVENT murders. Logically, you will have less deaths if it were legalized.

We proved this with alcohol prohibitions.

If you want to classify it as a medical drug, it has to be changed. Marijuana, in its raw form, is not up to the FDA's standards of medical applications. There are many harmful effects from smoking anything, and would require THC pills, which is not marijuana.

While I agree that these people should definitely get some good attention, I see no reason why they should have higher benefits than those of healthy, contributing human beings. My life is more valuable than theirs, so why should they have more rights?

The problem with a lot of people debating the legalization of Marijuana is that they don't realize that many places already have it legalized and are doing just fine. Few have seen changes in their societal structure, and all have benefited slightly from the decriminalization. No country has fully tapped into it as a resource, however.

I live as I choose to live. While I respect your right to live as you choose to live. I contribute, I work, and I make society continue as a whole. It's been said thousands of times over that marijuana does not kill you, and I hope that you realize your futile attempts to make it 'evil' are in vain as they are based on as much factual evidence as the existence of a giant tea pot floating around Mars.

    The Fat Controller:
Calling people morons does help the problem. While I understand that the people of this forum are too young to understand that they should learn from others' perspectives, criticism is a proven method for improving oneself.

Why would you make cigarettes illegal? Yes, I know it can kill people, but the people it can kill chose to use it in the first place.

Legalize it. When you're high, you go inside and play video games, and if you're feeling ambitious, you can come up with the most creative things you ever have.

    its fucking stupid.
the only reason people think bad of weed
is that its illegal, or they have had a bad experience with it.
if weed was legal, it would stop shitloads of crime.
    people CHOOSE to use it.
if you dont like it, dont use it.
dont stop other's doing makes them happy, just because you dont like it yourself.

Exactly the same as marijuana, except marijuana doesn't kill anyone, so what's the problem?

    Legalization of marijuana

It should be legal. The problem with everyone that thinks it should be illegal is that they think that when it's legalized EVERYBODY will start to do it. That's not the case, it's just like smoking tobacco, not everybody does it, but it's legal. If it's legalized it will help stop all of the shootings and drug deals gone wrong that end up with somebody dead.

If you did research you would know that pot has killed literally 0 people. there is no known deaths related to just pot. The reason pot looks so bad is because when an underage kid gets caught smoking pot they get the option of rehab or juvenile hall following prison thats why there are so many people in rehab for pot making the "addiction factor" look the highest, pot is also beneficial medically. For example, I have asthma and if I smoke a bowl/joint/ext. while having an asthma attack It allows me to be able to breathe long enough for me to set up my nebulizer(prescribed drug for asthma takes a min or two to set mine up)

Well sir, let me throw down some quick facts to completely ass rape you and make you look retarded.

    *Annual Deaths By Drugs
    Tobacco - 400,000
    Alcohol - 100,000
    Aspirin - 200
    Marijuana - 0

*There is no link from marijuana usage, even in chronic marijuana users to lung cancer.

*1 in 64 Marijuana users go on to do Cocaine, Meth, Heroine or some type of hard drug, thus making marijuana not a gateway drug.

*Marijuana does not kill brain cells, in the infamous study in which brain cells were found to be killed, they tested it on monkeys with a gas mask over their face...pumping a pound worth of marijuana smoke into their lungs without oxygen. Whoever is deprived of oxygen for more than 2 minutes start losing brain cells and killing tissue..nevertheless...it was the lack of oxygen..not the smoke or THC or Marijuana that killed brain cells.

Four facts that just blew up your whole argument. I smoke marijuana often and I am very intelligent...holding a 3.7 GPA

Bottom line: YOU WON'T KNOW UNTIL YOU TRY IT AND FIND OUT THE SCHOOL SYSTEM AND THE GOVERNMENT LIED TO YOU

All Anti-Legalization, Just watch a documentary on marijuana and you will understand. Its called The Union, its free on google video or youtube. It will open your mind.
