Legalize Marijuana?

In my opinion, legalizing marijuana would be disastrous. Lots of criminals who sell weed to make money would resort to crimes such as robbery, carjacking and home invasions.

Those who don't qualify for this will just buy the weed illegally or get friends to buy it for them. Imposing an age restriction wouldn't work for the reason. Think of how many underage drinkers there are. Legalizing marijuana is a bad idea all around

There are certain pros and cons to legalizing it, but I doubt it'll ever be legalized in our lifetime.

No, I don't think this needs to be up for debate. You basically have two sides of the spectrum here; people who know drugs are bad and people who are high 50% of the time saying weed isn't bad for you. Marijuana obviously will never be legalized... don't do drugs kids.

Defiantly, I own my own body, I deserve the right to do anything with it, be it inhaling the smoke from burning grass, or snorting chemicals. IT IS MY BODY, I CAN DO WHAT I WANT WITH IT as long as I don't hurt anybody physically in the process.

If you think Marijuana is 'bad', then don't smoke it, and teach your kids not to smoke it but why shouldn't I be allowed to smoke it in my the privacy in my own home where nobody gets affected besides me?

are you retarded? like seriusly. why is it that people who dont no anything about drugs assume that something minor and natural like weed is the same as crack. last time i checked, chemicals are not the same a a plant, and the people who smoke weed dont get into other drugs because they have done weed, its usually their own choice, because they have done weed before just gives them something to blame for doing it that isnt them.

to be honest i think that to have a valid opinion about this, you actually need to have tried it, and you need to know what the hell your talking about, and when i say try it, i mean more than once, and more than just a toke. otherwise you just have a one sided opinion and you dont really see the other side to it.

People do it anyways. If you legalize it and put some control over it less people will be shot and possibly cure addicts. Also there will be new revenue that you can tax. It will also provide a different crop for farmers who are already struggling esp with tobacco crops. Yes people can cause harm to others but the same holds true for alchohol. You have to be responsible or you suffer the same consequences. It is also a lifestyle decision and no-one should be told how to live their life. Personally Ive tried it but I do not do it.

 

It would be fun to legalize it for a while but in the long run i think it would cause more bad than good.

However, legalizing it for patients suffering from multiple sclerosis would be beneficial.

Of course. The fact that the state is telling these patients in pain that they can't do something to ease it is patently absurd.

i mean you cant overdose on it for one thing. the amount youd need to smoke is 1500lbs in under 15 minutes of the purest and highest thc content you can find. its also a natural anti nausea and headache med. plus its main reason for being illegal is because back when america was being founded hemp growers were putting the wealthy cotton growers out of business by producing cheaper cloth like material and a fun party favor lol.
