I live in the Netherlands, it's legal here
I smoke a joint like once a month. I like it to be high, but i sport a lot, so i can't do it too much.

I've been brainwashed that marijuana is not as harmful as some legal drugs.

- Do you accept it 100%?

No, but I realize people have their needs.

- Do you support the legalization?

I don't support the legalization of any drugs. I'd have all drugs that affect someone negatively banned if I had that type of power.

 

Everyone just take a second to think think of the negatives of alcohol/cigarettes, now compare them to the negatives of marijuana.

Which do you think is more harmful. I personally believe Alcohol and Cigarettes are a lot worse. Yet they are legal. Marijuana will be legal soon enough. Just give it time.

 

DRUGS, Marijuana grows directly from the ground. Its a plant. Plain and simple.

And it can also be used to make clothes and rope. Alternate fuels. MANY MANY THINGS

 

It should be legit.
Because it's not only used as a drug.
However, if you get caught with a certain amount of marijuana, for personal use, they should be punished.

I smoke pot, so don't rage at me saying I don't for saying this, but I really hate it when people use that "O WELL IT CUMS FROM DA GROUND SO MUST B HELFY NO BAD AFFECTS!11" argument. It makes no logical sense. There are plenty of things that come "directly from the ground" that will kill you if ingested.

I have to say your completely wrong about that, go watch "The Union" on youtube.. The drug war cash is mostly targeting marijuana. VERY slim amounts are used on "hard" drugs

 

I'm for the legalization of marijuana. I personally don't use it and don't think I ever will however it could benefit the government in terms of tax revenue. Governments could put excise taxes on it or something. Plus buying weed from a government licensed store confirms the quality; all drugs bought on the streets are laced with something. However something is going to have to be done about healthcare; in Canada our collective taxes go to paying for everyone's healthcare but I don't want my tax dollars going to pay for some pothead's treatment.

 

If you're against it, you are close minded and don't support independent thinking.

If you did any thinking for yourself you would know that it isn't really a "drug" by society's description. Yeah it's mind altering but so is caffeine.

To the people saying that "it's just a plant" isn't a good excuse because cocaine and heroine are plants too, fuck off. Heroine is from the opium poppy plant, and if you just took some of the poppies out of the plant, you wouldn't feel any different.
You need to take the chemicals in those plants and concentrate them to such ridiculous doses that it would be near impossible to get that much into your body naturally. You can literally grow weed, dry it, and smoke it. You do not need one single thing to get high off weed besides a seed, dirt, and water.

To those saying that the emotional addictiveness is terrible, you really know nothing. I have been through the withdrawal symptoms, and their gone is 4 days. I smoked all day every day for 4 months, then had to stop for probation and it was no big deal. You just miss it and it was hard for me to sleep for a couple days, then I woke up one day not really caring anymore.

You only have a hard time getting off of it if that's all you care about. The weed doesn't make you want it, you just need to stop abusing it and be productive at the same time.

 

Practically all the steryotypes about marajuana are wrong, but I believe weed causes negative consequesces for some people.

 

Question for everybody: Why does it stay in your body for so long? Because it has positive effects, and your body is trying to keep it?

 

I support legalization, imo its highly unlikely its any worse than alcohol/tobacco.

 

Pot is honestly nothing really bad. In fact, marijuana is extremely healthy if processed right. Smoking it is just not what it's for. Being high is not half as bad as being drunk, and probably OK compared to smoking. I completely support legalizing marijuana if it has an 18+ limit, like all the other "substances".

In addition, the crash in gang and criminal violence would be astounding. The sheer amount of people who do take pot and don't take crack / meth would dry funding so fast many large gangs would collapse.
