Your Life! Is It Really Worth It?

The question is simple, yet not everyone can answer.


Does your life hold any significant importance? Or are we just expendable like your average everyday fly? Tell us why, or why not.


There are over 7 billion human beings on planet Earth, as of March, 2012. I ask this because not every human is fortunate to live their life how they want to. And in many cases, suicide tends to occur.

I would say no. Humans are just a bunch of atoms and mollicules, for all we know this universe is 1 atom in some dudes ball sack. Of course thats when religion comes into play, because everyone needs to believe they are on this world for a reason. They need a "God" to tell them that they are important and have a purpose, and that imo is really sad.
Take charge of your like and MAKE it important for yourself. Make your life mean something to YOU. You don't have to be some hollywood sellout for your life t have any importance.
Are we expendable? Sure we are we are all going to die one day and no one will remember you for jack shit in 100 years. You will just a forgotten memory in the grand circle of life.

IDK if any of this made any sense but its 4am and i have not slept in a while.

 

Every human has concious. We want to excel and strive in our environment and we are different from other animals.

And my life is worth it as long as I am enjoying what I am doing.

 

Life is worth living, I figure if you know you're gonna die go out with a bang, make an impact. Kill some people or something

If you really have a deathwish, make a living doing something dangerous, yet that helps others. Become a firefighter, etc.

 

No, my life isn´t worth it IMO.

 

If you in a hide speed chase and wanted for some serious shit, and you know you going to face life in prison, might as well run through a retirement home or something.

 

life is worth living and life is not worth living,
it's simple, i can spend my days helping people where possible, then perhaps i have made a change, in someones life. if i donate my origins when i die i have made a change.
if you make the world worst, then if you were not in it then you do not deserve to live and therefore your impact is negative and there is no reason for you to live.

It depends what you want to make out of it. If you want to spend every weekend hanging out with your friends gossiping about stuff in school then you will be "expendable" per say, the smart people are the ones who will be recognized and the smartest of the smart become immortal with their deeds.

As a personal question the answer should obviously always be yes or you have self esteem issues.

 

I agree with this to an extent, but now we have television and the internet and just doing dumb shit can make you famous now. Look at the Jersey Shore people, they are famous for literally just being retarded and getting drunk.

I think if people aren't going to use their life fruitfully it is a waste. People who spend 30 years strung out on drugs and doing nothing to better society is a waste of life. It really makes me think of the story Repent Harelquin! Said the Ticktock Man by Harlan Ellison. People have a set amount of time and these overlord type people have the power to take it away for various reasons.

 

I enjoy my life with the little things i have and family and frends and GOD

 

I enjoy my life, however there are something that I could change to improve it. Like for exampling quitting the shit addictive things such as runescape

 

I dont think MY life is worth it. But some other peoples lives definetly are.

My ideology:Live your everyday life as its your last,enjoy and do what you actually think or dream of,in senior years you cannot do these things and then you will regret things you didn't accomplish,everyday life is worth of living,do what you love most and dont give a damn what others think/say cause at the end of the day,haters gonna hate.

 

If your living purposely there isnt a point in living should be doing something to benefit you ( Religion etc ) Life becomes more pleasureable if you believe in a creator :O

 

Lol, if my life would really be that easy atm, I still have to study/work right now in order to reach that point.

No, I'm not some kind of a superhuman.

 

Well while working/studying you could still do things you love most,because you probably have some spare time to do things you love.When i had college and work i still had some spare time to do things i love to do most.Be positive because life is beautiful(especially now because summer is time to enjoy yourself, find time for yourself).
