Life in the universe? Does it exsist?

First of all thanks for posting that picture.
I saw a vid about how small we really are on youtube, but I never managed to fully grasp how big they are. Now I can watch the pictures.

My personal opinion about extra terestrial life is that it would be arrogant to say there is none. Considering how large the universe really is, there might be simple or more advanced life forms who managed to adapt to their planet.

But if we look howmuch the life on this planted has endured and how it has been to get to this stage, I'd say finding life will be a hard task.

This planet endured nothing... Life evolved here easily. You all understand life does not need oxygen to survive right? We just evolved in a way that we need to survive. Oxygen is toxic, very toxic we have certain thing's inside of us that detoxify it. Earth could very well be extremely deadly to other civilizations..

No, not at this moment. We have yet to find an other life in the universe. Believing that there is life out there is called faith, like believing in god, it's not proven yet, but we some how made it work out that we can consider it as the truth. I have faith that there is the greatest possibility of other water based organisms in our universe.

Walt, Yea... You don't know how big the universe is do you? Even with a 1 in 100 Billion chance of life on another planet, then there are hundreds of thousands. There is no "our universe" it's The universe and our solar system. God is very unrealistic but other organisms on another planet well there is an extremely high chance of it, they just aren't close by.

No matter how big it is, we have yet to find life, therefore I WILL NEVER BELIEVE IT UNTIL I SEE IT.

    Walt:
God is a completely different issue. It is not at all fair to life on other planets.

what make's you think we will find it? You couldn't get out of the solar system in your life time.. There are billions of solar systems in just OUR galaxy and billions of galaxy's.

Yea, It actually does. You'd be really stupid to actually think we are the only one's out here. If you believe in math and believe and agree that simple math works then the odds say that the universe is abundant with life. At this exact moment in time we only have pictures that prove that other planets and universes exist, we can't actually see if there is life on it well any planet outside our solar system.. So there could be a few very close by.

No, We know there isn't in our solar system.. That IS silly. Half of the planet's are all made of gas and have no surface.

Do you know the probability of life being on a planet? No.

It could be 1 in one billion.

It could be 1 in 1 with a million zeroes on the end.

    Etc.

You are a fool to think thatjust because it's really big, there is life on other planets.

    Source, please.

There's already an equation put in place to calculate the amount of intelligent life in the galaxy, so yes I do. It's called the "Drake Equation". You also have to understand that astronomers take intelligent life on other planets seriously. They have a class for the rate of technology that the planet would be on, M1, M2 and M3. You have no idea what YOU are talking about.
