Life in the universe? Does it exsist?

There has to be. There are so many galaxies and planets out there, it would be crazy if there wasn't any other life.

it has to be, its mathematically impossible that there is not any other life out there. they have aimed the hubble telescope at "darK" spots in the sky and find thousands (more like millions) of galaxies

I wouldnt say that there is definitely life other than ours in the universe, but it is a possibility.

Life in the universe? Does it exsist?

It's predicted that there are 70 Million Million Million Million Stars in the universe, and more are being made. Those 70 Million Million Million Million Stars mostly all have planets around them. We've found fossils of bacterial life or what look to be like fossil's of bacterial life on mars. We do not know for sure if there is or isn't life in our solar system. There's a moon (the name escapes me) that orbits saturn and it's covered in ice and most likely has water below. there could be life below there (fish, bacteria, whatever) NASA has a program working on a probe that will drill through the ice and sent a small robot down to take a look. I'll tell you though, you CANNOT find a astronomer out there that doesn't believe in life on other planets. (well one that actually know's what he or she is talking about and is taken seriously in the scientific community).

I may not be a astronomer, but I highly doubt we are the only living planet in our WHOLE universe. There are Trillions of planets and only one has the right things to support life...I don't think so..:|

Life in the universe? Does it exsist?

    Yes, there is.

People say, "no the evidence is all fake, it's impossible, etc."

You're wrong. For every grain of sand on this earth, there is at least 1 star out there. Now, when you go to the beach next time, grab a handful of sand and let it fall, watch how many thousands of grains fall. That's just 1 handful from the beach. Think about the large desert's and hundreds of thousands of miles of beaches on this earth.

Just because we don't have any real evidence (in my opinion), I mean besides all of the stores and low-quality pictures seen on TV and the internet, doesn't mean there isn't anything out there.

I believe there is life out there. We just haven't met yet.

Life in the universe? Does it exsist?

I'm pretty sure there is life in the universe but we'll never come into contact with them, in the 5 billion years of life the sun has remaining, Humans will die out long before then, so the pursuit of it is a waste of time on our part.
I mean that's only my opinion, I know research will continue and telescopes will see further, etc etc etc but I don't think it will ever get there.

Life in the universe? Does it exsist?

i do think it does and this swayed my view on this even further: http://www.cardiff.ac.uk/news/articles/life-on-comets.html

we must have been hit by alot of commets with lots of compounds of diffrent atoms/compounds because we have alot of the atoms in existance,

and the creation of the universe is like a card game the metiors are the cards and the solar system and gravity is the player the metiorites clashed because of gravity and we got thousands of mixed atoms, now if another planet has diffrent mappings for diffrent compounds and can still contain life it means that potentialy there could be super humans or something amazing out there like flying manta rays because there genetical structure is mutated with a bird or the planet has a low gravitational pull but is still able to sustane life.

    this is my theory...

    thanks

    p.s

as for contacting others in the universe is virtually impossible, the milkyway is huge and we are on the left flank of it and to send a message to the other flank would take 75,000 years for it to reach there going at the speed of light.

    p.p.s

cody your wrong there is potentially 8 billion stars per grain of sand on this planet. lol think of that when u throw 1 grain. lol

I believe there is life out there, and compared to us, we are ignorant, i believe there msut be life forms out there that are millions of years ahead of us in technology.

I'm assuming you mean other than on the Earth.

In our solar system? most likely no. The universe? 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% yes

Life in the universe? Does it exsist?

    Weird incident yesterday:

I was watching a show about the Roswell incident on National Geographic while suddenly the screen turned black in the middle of the show. All other channels worked just fine, and after it was finished the problem was gone.

    Coincident? Discuss.

8 billion stars for every grain of sand on this planet? What the hell are you smoking? Where did you hear this from?
