    Teleportation Achievable?

It's not possible. The 4th Dimension is basically (according to string theory) time.

String Theory does have 10 dimensions + time = 11 dimensions. And its likely its not possible however we don't even really have any ways to test if it were possible to move into 4 dimensions so it will be a while before we can even rule it out as science fiction.

Much better there I was beginning to think you were saying Multiple universes and Quantum mechanics were hoaxes but now I see what you are saying is that its just all irrelevant to anything we can ever achieve in real life I agree on this for the most part except for the multiple dimensions does bring about how we came into existence or how our universe did but then it makes other problems like what created the original universe.

I recently watched a TV show that interviewed people who claim Einstein had created a way to teleport. He claimed he was working on it and never figured it out, but these people claim he did and the military used his method to teleport a battleship, or a tank... I can't remember which now. Honestly, I don't know if its true, the people being interviewed seemed like they really knew what they were talking about, but so does the pope, so who knows.

I mean if they could teleport back around the time Einstein died, why wouldn't they be using it in the military still today? Or why wouldn't it be released to the public to offer bigger profits to the government by offering the public very expensive ways to travel that would cost the government almost nothing? Holes like that make the story hard to believe, but the points they made make it hard to chose a side really.

Teleporting isn't the same as time-travelling.

It wasn't time travel in the documentary. They took a tank or battleship (already told you I cant remember which) and made it disappear from one place, and reappear in a new place, cutting out the length of time it would take to manually move the said "item" to that place. Give me 1 sec and I'll go through my TV and see what the show is called so you can check it out if you'd like.

EDIT: Sorry to say I could not find the show on XBMC, I may have watched it on Netflix or Hulu. But I did find a link on TruTV's website about it. Here is the link: http://www.trutv.com/conspiracy/government-lies/time-travel/philadelphia-experiment.html

Here is the information from that link:

Like I said, its just a conspiracy and I can't say for sure if I really believe in it or not.

EDIT 2: FOUND IT!! The show is called "Dark Matters: Twisted but True" It is "episode 1" and you can stream it on netflix! :)

Dark Matters 0_o so it must involve dark energy or something? Why does the "green fog" appear though? What IS that green fog...

I'm not sure. I can't remember it to well. No it has nothing to do with dark matter or dark energy, its just the name of the show, it has 2 seasons that cover everything from UFOs to teleportation and other things (I've only watched that first episode so far).

From the way I interpret the name of the show its like "dark matters" as in "shady dealings" or "shady business" or "shady people" something like that instead of "matter" meaning the substance that occupies space or anything.

    Teleportation Achievable?

The only person speaking sense in this thread is snoopchicken.

Unless and until someone manages to transport matter without accelerating it, teleportation is impossible. This would be of course a violation of a number of standing physical laws including newton's third law.

As to entanglement, the mainstream interpretation of quantum physics (cophenagen) does not explain or even properly describe it. Wave function collapse is about the most asinine thing to ever be described as science. When asked what a wave function is, there is no answer. When asked what constitutes an observer or a measurement, there is no answer. It is a completely fictional story backing a mathematical description that was 'pulled from nowhere' (paraphrasing) according to Heisenberg and which 'just works, so we use it' according to practically every physicist on earth.

The only way to make sense of superluminal correlations (called quantum entanglement) is to do away with the notion that information can't travel faster than light. However modern "scientists" are unwilling to do this, so instead keep building onto this unworkable and fallacy laden "theory" which has so little predictive power that its mainstream model of a helium atom is plus or minus 80%.

So all of the teleportation stories are just hoaxes?

    Entanglement is *like* teleportation...
And moving an object without acceleration IS impossible but what I'm saying is not like... Where you yourself teleport yourself to another location. What if we can develop a portal as a shortcut to reach that location instantly (like a wormhole)???

True that scientists haven't found an observational evidence for wormholes, but on a THEORETICAL level, some solutions of general relativity contain wormholes.

Ok firstly, let me let you in on a little secret in physics. General relativity is incompatible with quantum mechanics.

Secondly, entanglement (superluminal correlation) is nothing like teleportation. Not even close. As I said, if anyone actually has empirical evidence of the movement of mass from one point in space to another without acceleration, then this would be teleportation.

"Teleporting photons" is rubbish. For example a light wave may be absorbed by the electron cloud of an atom of silicon and be remitted on the other side (for example in a pane of glass). This is no more teleportation of the light, than the passage of sound through a wall is the teleportation of sound.

Entanglement is like Sythe said basically making like a reflection. It does not teleport anything all it does is display a change on both photons entangled for a small amount of time (less then a second).

Teleportation is not and will not ever be possible there are some theories that cannot be proven or disproved saying things like black holes could teleport us to other parts in our universe but once again this just seems bullshit.

Nothing can ever be teleported but we may find ways to move very fast this would not be teleportation though however it might appear to be similar to teleportation to the observer if you moved around the world in a second.

Most believe you get compressed into a singularity and the black hole keeps getting more dense the more it takes in and it will eventually grow so massive it will suck in stars.

Yeah but the other thread you made was about black holes and how the universe expands as they collide with each other or something? I still don't quite get that but lets get back on topic lol

    Teleportation Achievable?

My thread is based on the theory of the cyclic universe where the universe will stop expanding outwards (Universe coming to a halt is the current accepted theory on death of universe) but whats different about this is the huge number of black holes by then will have become so massive they will start sucking the entire universe inward slowly until they get so dense they can pull everything all the black holes in the universe combine and absorb the entire universe then it will become so dense it will explode outward and create a new big bang. the amount of black holes will be incredible by this time its not just a few billion years our universe is only 13.7b years old its not even half over.

The universe will probably not start from the same location as it did as the big bang didn't expand equal energy in all directions.

There was no beginning and no end in the cyclic universe.
