Can you cause your own death?

Any mental stress can shorten your life; however, it is impossible to make yourself die.

 

See, you are saying this as if it is known fact. We do not KNOW that you cannot make yourself die, we just doubt it. It is natural instinct for the human body to survive so we assume that we cannot kill ourselves. It would be hard to prove this argument right or wrong because to prove it right, someone would have to die, and to prove it wrong you could just sit there and think about dying and not die. But, my point is, perhaps in the right scenarios your body would be willing to give in. But, as mentioned, it is rather unlikely.

 

Yes, people have died because they have lost the "will to live"

The theory of placebo is such a load of bullshit, in my opinion. It's not that the thought of them being cured after taking the placebo actually cured them. It's only that in this world, when we become sick, the option immediately opens for us to get better.

That's all it is. They got better. It wasn't because they thought they were going to. It's just biology.

When you reach a near point of death, you can control it by just simply, falling asleep. My grandfather did this.

He waited until he turned 79, then the nurse called my aunt, and said "Your father's heart rate is dropping." My aunt rushed to the hospital, and my grandfather's heart rate went back up, but as soon as my aunt left, my grandfather died about an hour later.

If you're in a state of mind, and are ill, and know you're going to die, I believe you can pretty much control your death.

Some studies show result as high as 50-60% are "cured" by the placebo. That seems too high of a number to be just natural healing.

A man in Bristol UK Was closing Freezing lockers where meat or some shit was placed, As going in the door locked behind him. He then shivered,fell to the floor and died.

The Freezer was 100% off.

He only believed it was on which caused him to die.
He believed that he was going to die, and guess what

He did.

 

Heres something people haven't posted yet that I know of.

First off you can cause your own death....suicide and in various ways, if I drive my car 100mph into another car I did it.

Anyways as far as a person wanting to die before their 90 heres what happens.
Most people "Hang on" until a certain even like anniversery, birthday, wedding ect. I've noticed this multiple times that older people will tend to hang in there til something happens then die in peace.

 

I would be the car killing you. I guess if you could strangle yourself that would be the loophole.

 

It's a conincident, you can't just make yourself die if you say you're gonna die.

 

I disagree. You can lose the will to live, which will prey on your mental subconsciousness. You will slowly deteriorate.

I think it would take a month maybe? Look at it this way. If you tell yourself "I'm going to get sick" a million times, you probably will. But if you say firmly "I will NOT get sick" and believe in it, you won't. That's what I believe anyway.

 

I've heard some older people are actually able to control it to that extent, where they can allow themselves simply to die due to not wanting to live any longer...
Heard about this many times to be honest.

 

The human brain is a very powerfull tool we only use 8% or so off ours.. if you can cause your own death though i dbout it.
