You think that people having to accurately price within their thread titles is going to stop them selling and therefore make it less active than it already is? You are literally delusional.

If anything less thread locks will keep it more active.

Yes because locking the threads of every major user who cant be bothered to update prices daily and little whiny bitches go and report their threads is surely to help the market.

Lets go lock everyone's thread who is using price ranges and we'll see if that "helps" the market as is apparently your argument?

You really think that's going to HELP the market? Really?

I think you need to take a marketing class. Users even if they visit a inaccurately priced thread will visit that site, realize the price is inaccurate and come back to the market and browse again(Thus creating recurring, still valued traffic - They will come back to Sythe to as there is nowhere else to go and they still want their gold). The entire argument for the false advertisement rule is to prevent "Angry users" but the rule is geared to support individuals, not the market. The false advertising rule and this suggestion would do nothing but harm the market.

Nobody in their right mind when the markets barely go 2 pages deep would think locking threads is a valid solution.

This is to help gold sellers like you find a way to lock some of the bigger sites threads so you can steal their customers. Don't act like it isn't.

This has nothing to do with big million dollar businesses like yours @Divine, actually looking at the market websites are the ones that aren't abusing this.

The whole point is if someone is selling gold at 0.65+, there should be a way in which that 0.65$ price is achievable, through either a desired payment method or specific quantity to be ordered.

If there is no way to achieve that price in any way then its false advertising.

If someone is selling 0.65+ via bitcoin only, i should in theory be able to buy all their stock @ 0.65 otherwise their price is wrong.

So report the thread for false advertising. There's already a rule in place.

If you advertise $0.65-$0.75 and u say if u buy 5B 07 you can get $0.65 that's not false advertising. If you say you can get $0.65-$0.75 but then don't offer a price lower than $0.7 even if they offer to buy 5B than that is false advertising.

What's the problem. Price ranges have been used since the start of the false advertising rule. If someone doesn't honor the price range stated than report them.

Price ranges are used all across the internet and all across the real world aswell. You don't see Walmart suing Sears for saying they sell couches for $299-$699.

Price ranges are apart of the every day world - I fail to see any form of issue. If Sears didn't honor the price range advertised than you could sue/report them - If a seller doesn't honor the price range they offer on Sythe than report them for false advertising. If a seller wants to advertise $0.65-$0.75 and say u can only get $0.65 for 5B+ they have that right as a seller. Free market.

I believe the issue he is bringing to light is for example: Lets say my real buying price is $0.60/m, I can post on my buying thread $0.60/m - $0.75/m and still be within this range, but I will attract users by advertising a much higher rate than I will actually be paying.

While it does agree with our rules, its definitely a loophole to them and I do think its something that could be addressed.

ever tried reporting a gold thread? Active market users in that section aren't allowed

@Panda can maybe shed some light as to why, the above scenario was relating to a clickbait title that i could have actually buy/sold at that rate (think it was a high buy price i could have sold for) and i was denied the ability to report him.

    exactly the issue.

the clickbait titles get the traffic, those users then "match" everyone else and rather than the person going elsewhere, since they're already in discussions with that person they get the sale/purchase.

All stemmed from the clickbait title.
