i feel like we'd have to remove "legit cheapest, most trusted" and such like that then too, due to the fact that almost everyone thinks they are the best, most trusted, etc. and we just keep getting jebaited by threads, since most ppl have wrong prices in the thread too, not only in title (ie: Searchy)

    Yes and no
Yes, it would remove the potential of bait
No, me and others do take time to edit the price at one single price and if the sell price changes then the thread changes too.

Maybe just have everything removed except for the actual price

If you have multiple prices (aka paypal and btc, where paypal is obiously going to be more expensive) then you advertise the highest price you sell for aka the paypal price in this case.
    No ranges or +-/~

i feel like this isn't a good idea. if you take multiple payments, you should have prices listed for each. it's not hard, here's a template

    BTC/Crypto:
    Paypal:
    WU:
    Cashapp:

bc ppl will claim the ignorance excuse when they bait your ass with prices and do the bait and switch, kinda like *ya know what i'm better then this not going to call him out a 3rd time* is good for. it's not hard to edit a post and change 1 or 2 numbers for each payment method you accept. if that's too hard for you, then just don't sell anything. also, another BIG thing @video - how do you feel abt not only baiting ppl with prices, but payment options. i really feel like this should be enforced, how many times has someone gone to a gold selling thread, see paypal or CC or cashapp, you get to the site, and "we don't accept that only btc" i know i'm a new user, but i've bought quite a fair amount of gold and this above everything is extremely frustrating.

I'm in favor of just allowing titles to have the price you're buying at (example: Selling gold $0.90/m). I think prices are useful advertisement points for sellers/buyers, but ranges are abused and need to be removed.

Agree'd imo should be TWC'd or banned if false advertisement, also the question of people just bumping for the sole purpose of bumping to get there thread views. They never have stock and this goes for like 50% of the gold section.

I Agree to make prices completely removed from all gold sections.

Im against a strict price, i am for a no price in title and range in the thread. For buying, rates vary on stock, for selling, our rates are removed on most forums, but they are basicly fixed on the website

I love how the only people that care about ranges / etc is people that dominate the market already.
This "False Advertisement" rule will only hurt people that aren't big as they don't participate in the market enuff too change their price in their title.

Good Observation-People who change their prices daily are people who do this daily.

Yup, smaller busineses, with no reputation, with no price advertised will be gravedigged, good for all the top 20 websites. Also resellers who supply gold sellers will have less sales, which increases the margins of the websites, because people come to us directly. For me having strict price is perfect, because i sell at a strict price, i only buy at a fluctuating price, but it’s always at the maximum i advertise anyway lol. Every reseller or person who sells us gold can vouch for that.

Again, i think that people should have a range but should be tighter, or no range, strict prices, for buying, cant really happen because every single bulk buyer literally changes his price by a few cent every 1hr

Support, but depends on last time the user bumped.
If a thread was bumped this morning, and it says 'buying all 07 for 0.83$ btc/pp', I'm expecting to sell it for this price. If I contact the buyer, and they have too much stock, that's all good. But when they say they have a lot of stuck so will pay 0.80$ instead, that's false advertising imo.

I'd say just ban putting prices at all in titles and keeping it in the threads, but if that isn't the ruling i'd say no support.

For one, this type of ruling massively favors those who have already established reputation and enables another barrier of entry into the runescape market.

Secondly, I don't see why this has to be a rule considering we already have a rule around false advertising - if someone is advertising a price they won't sell at no matter what, report them. As someone with a gold site already explained, the reasons for some of these massive price differences has to do with payment method on top of other things - along with the fact certain sellers dont buy all their gold at the same rate. You might buy 500m @ .8 and another 500m for .75. To meet certain margins, you might advertise your thread saying .80-.86 where you'll sell the second 500m for .80-.82 and the rest for .83+. If anyone knows how gold sales works, the amount you get in sales is VERY unpredictable throughout the day where you might not get an order for an hour or you might get 4 in 10 minutes. If one is to sell the second 500m within 10 minutes of bumping (its happened to me, guaranteed others too), is the rule enforced then due to the fact the person wasn't able to predict they could off load the gold so fast? Or is there a certain time frame between bumping your thread and when you can sell for a price not as advertised?

The point I'm trying to make is to not defend clear clickbaiters like @Jacky, but people who get in specific scenarios where a rule like this just would screw them over. Also, I don't see why a rule like this HAS to be made too. We have false advertisement rules already. In that screenshot you posted @Searchy, you should 100% have reported that persons thread as false advertisement considering he was advertising gold he did not have at the time of bumping his thread.

This thread is getting a lot of support, and if you want a change we definitely can make one. The problem is, what kind of correct punishment would you as in the "Community" want on all the gold shops / sellers? Would you want it to be considered "False Advertisement" and it be moderated falling under that rule?

    Also,
    A)
    B) What kind of title's / ranges would you all agree on?

    C) How actively would you want it to be moderated to a point where everyone is not reporting each other, to get a "competitive" edge in the market?

A fine for this type of thing would be better in my opinion. Allowing for the community repayment fund to receive all of the proceeds.

I think removing prices from titles would be a good adjustment as well, sites never have the same prices as listed in their thread so why are they advertising something they cannot commit to?

    Thanks.

I just don't think the lowest price advertised should be for 3B gold then anything under 10m still cost 20% more.

    It's lame.

Yes. People with the best bait titles gets the most amount of traffic. Downside would be everyone having to edit their title and this would require a tremendous amount of moderation. But I’ll support it regardless

We are banning prices from titles in gold sections. Too many complaints from customers and sellers about people not keeping accurate prices
