I believe in God because, I think there's a reason why we are living, a reason why the universe is so big, a reason why there is life. Every wondered that? We can't just happen, I also think this world is a test for us

 

I'm also a believer in god and think that this life is a series of tests.

But are you suggesting that everything has no meaning should there be no god?

There's nothing to compare or analyze. Most of these replies seem to be as who can argue their opinion on religion better. Which is dumb, the only thing that can be analyzed through this topic is ignorance in humanity for which reason they believe in something. So far I've seen "something can't come from nothing, therefore God exists." , "because I have to otherwise this or this". Its all through ignorance so far. I have yet to see any reasonable and logical point that could even spark the idea of a omnipotent being in the sky. -_-.

This would work better in another off topic section. Posting it here would obviously bring debate into the topic; unfortunately its out of ignorance or stupidity. Usually the religious person attempts at a counter argument which further proves their ignorance. When they are told they aren't proving anything they get upset or worse and try insulting the other poster in some way.

I already see this. Guys if you don't want you beliefs to be debated or argued about....stop posting it in the SFA forum.

As for the topic, I don't believe in any God. I believe in systems or say natural order of certain things make the world what is is. Unfortunately we have yet to understand certain things, but that doesn't mean I should believe in a God. Just because certain things are unexplainable doesn't mean it was a magical act of a paradoxical presence. There's no reason there has to be a God in order for there to be good; if you think anything close to that you can consider yourself a pessimist as you see humanity as incapable of doing good at their own will.

I believe in God simply because I feel that he exist and is my creator.

For someone to try to prove me wrong or bring me down because of that or force into my head that he isn't real would be something of pure ignorance.


You know that feelin' you get when your about to do something wrong?

How do you know that its wrong? How do you make a moral decision?

How do people who come from homes that are immoral know what morals to have?

What is guilt? What is pride? What is lust?

All things of the human nature. But why are they part of the human nature? Why do we feel this way?


Because Good and Evil both exist.

How would you know good from evil? How do you comprehend good from evil?

Not by what society says, because society can't tell you how to feel, or when to feel it.

If you want to disprove God so badly because you think your helping open peoples eyes, even in the Bible it states not to judge one because of his/her beliefs. You are infact WORSE than what you are trying to put down. Putting someone down who rides high on something that doesn't affect you what so ever is wrong, anyone can see that. So even if your right, and God doesn't exist, your still wrong for trying to disprove something you haven't got the right to disprove anyway.


And if you feel so strongly about it that you must disprove it, Go read some books. Not just books about how God can't exist, but also sit down and read the Bible. Look at the puzzle from both sides, try to fit the pieces together in different areas instead of trying to cram one piece into one spot when it obviously doesn't fit.

Until I have SOLID PROOF that the big bang did happen, I refuse to believe it. That doesn't mean that it didn't happen, and you don't need proof to make a decision upon something. I choose to.

As far as evolution goes, We are currently the only planet in our solar system that can support life, or so they say. Yet, if we have evolved into being able to live here, why couldn't other life forms evolve and survive on desolate planets that are also in our solar system?

Honestly I find it funny how so many people dont believe in an all knowing God yet,its impossible to ignore satanic influences on the world today....anyways I believe in God because the bible written thousands of years ago predicts the future

 

Until it's scientificly proven that there is such a creature like God, I'll not believe in one. I don't really understand how people can help other people by just talking to themselves. Of course, when you're wanting something to yourself and you're talking something to yourself, then you might find some differences in your life and call that "the God's will", but w/e. 2. You are a hypocrite. You tell ME to disprove your belief; which has absolutely ZERO valid evidence forms and features, while you REQUEST proof for scientific fact which has more than its fair share of evidence and reasoning.
