Why do you believe in God?

No, this is not one of those topics again, but rather an analysis. If you are a religious person or somewhat religious, I would like you to think about your answer to this thread title again, then look at the line below.



"He exists."


That, in my opinion, is the only reason why you essentially need to believe in a deity. Belief and faith essentially asserts that something exists, and in an organised religion, the entire foundation is the assertion that a God present and listening to prayers.

My question now is that would you interpret this differently? How so? Could you invalidate my statement?

I agree, but the problem is that most churches/mosques/religious organisations still preach the god of the bible.

 

My father and mother are both Christian, and I was born a Christian.
My father is the head minister of a church and also teaches theology in two universities.

I guess that I have no choice to be Christian lol

I'm not saying that I don't like it. I'm happy that my parents forced me to be a good Christian, because for some reason, I have a better view of the world from up here.

The way I see it, "Seeing is believing". It's like Ghosts. "Why be scared of something you can't see". Life is what you make it. Just because I don't believe in god, doesn't make me a lesser person. I still have a heart?

 

To keep people sane they need to believe that there life has a purpose.

Do I believe in God? Yes.

Do I recognize myself as a christian? No.

I'm not religious.

I believe somewhat of a God is out there, not sure if it's a Giant in the sky with a long white beard and white robes or not, but I still think there is some higher power that the God of the Bible could be referenced with, or any God/Gods for that matter.

 

Because time is not consisent. Time slows down within a certain radius of a black hole potentially billions of times it's impossible to say that exicstence is disproven since all is not known.

However the laws of physics also don't apply within a black hole. That means everything NASA bases its calculations on is inconsistent.

Mankind will never get to a stage where we know everything, heck we don't even know what our universe is made out of.

the only thing that poses a problem is if u have the slightest idea that a deity exists for example god, every time something good is headed your way or every time you dont die in a car accident it must have been the work of the said god.

as to when something bad happens god must be testing you or had that one planned out.

Why do i believe in God? Mainly it's the fact of, where the fuck did everything come from? The big bang theory is a crock. How can it happen if a law of physics state something can't come from nothing? That one law pretty much disproves the whole theory. I don't care what people have to say about RedShift etc.

Where does god come from? Well that's the million dollar question isn't it. There's no point in arguing over whether God exists or not, it is physically impossible to prove the existance of a Divine Diety.

 

i dont care if god is real i still believe in him and if hes not real at least i believed in something in my life
