    White/Black (Racism) Debate.

I am prejudice against black people. I dont do it on purpose... Its more of the way i grew up. For example, if i was on the highway... And a black person looked like they were going to hit me, i would worry much more than if a white person looked like they were going to hit me. Maybe it is because i feel that white people are better drivers. I really dont know. I grew up in a school with maybe 10 black people out of 1000 people. Probably less. Thats 1%. I have been in classes with about 240 people since i started high school last year. Not one of those 240 people were black.

So basically, i dont walk up to a black person and say "I hate nikkas". Instead, i unconsciously discriminate against black people.

    Hope this made sense

Aaaaand you're fucking retarded. End of discussion. If these are just the stereotypes, why are you posting this here? What does it have to do with anything, anyways? We all know the stereotypes, we're just debating if its worthy or not. Your entire post is comparing apples and oranges.

Hmm, fair enough. I guess I feel the same way at times, but not against black people (I have a few black friends, and whatnot) but Arabs. Not like I dislike them or anything, but it's something subconscious. Well phrased.

Racism is making fun of or making rude or bad comments about another race other than your own. However, Natzi's killing Jews was prejudice, or hating one's religion.

    White/Black (Racism) Debate.

I have nothing against black people, white people, religious people etc.

But i do hate religious people trying to impose their religion on me, like when they come to my damn door and saying to join their church etc. So i hate it when the idiots do that, if i want to join their church then i would and don't need someone knocking on my door to guide me to it.

But since this is mainly black and white racism, i think some black people take racism too far and think anything a white person says to them/about them is racist. But majority are cool, i've had lots of friends that were black and they are the funniest people i've ever known. You can say black jokes to them and they'll laugh, they even know a heap themselves, but i'm sure if someone made a black joke to try to insult them then they'd find it offensive which is understandable.

Just depends on how you word things, if you mean things as a joke then i don't think anyone should be offended by it. Unless it embarrass's them then think thats insulting them, whether its a joke or not.

I agree completely. It really pisses me off when WHITE people yell at other WHITE people for making a Mexican joke, or a Black joke, or any other type of joke that is "racist" if the person is obviously doing it in good humor.

My black friends tell "white" jokes all the time, I tell them "black" jokes all the time, too. I really don't think it's a big deal; if people are so close-minded that they feel that telling racist jokes is on par with being racist, that's something that bugs me too.

I myself am not a racist, but when people are SO anti-racism that they even consider racist jokes made only for the purpose of humor (Joe: I'm a Jew, Jon: *drops a nickel* pick it up, Joe! Joe: Lmfaod00d) to be racist, and then scold you for these jokes, it really pisses me off. A lot.

I agree, people dont understand being racist. I believe that no matter what, you can be proud of being white, black, tan, purple... whatever. I also agree, the term racist is used alot and its usually not accurate. But i hate how people use racist terms everyday, just pisses me off. And that was a good idea, about the cracker thing. Next time, you should tell the person, hey would you like being called a N*****? We all should encourage eachother to be more open to others. I think that there is a fine line and you really have to cross it to be cosidered "racist"

    White/Black (Racism) Debate.

Racism (and other forms of discrimination) is EVERYWHERE. Every situation regarding two races, genders, sexualities will believe the person making the decision is racist, sexist, or against gays if they're ignorant.

Ignorant, or uneducated people, will usually believe someone is being racist if they don't get chosen over another races. He's envying the person who stole his position and using racism as a way to vent his frustration.

    Is that okay? No.

    Can you stop it? No.

Who thinks in 2000 years (if the earths still existant) there will be very few people of "pure" skin colour (I wont say race because Id say 90%+ of people just now are not purely 1 race)
Will there still be racists then?

People are overly scared about "racism" when it is unavoidable really, if you meet a black person or a white person or an asian person or someone from a different country you automaticly make assumtions about them and how you should aproach them based on certain stereotypes.

First of all, why is it unavoidable? Second of all, it's not "racism" if the assumptions are positive, or anyways, can't lead to anything negative, right?

This is a racist comment in it of itself. "People who want to be black" are not trying to be black, they're trying to be the image we assosciate with being "hood" and "gangster" - take Fat Joe, for example. He's not black, yet his "crew" is, and he's not acting like he's black - he's acting like the person _WE_ stereotype as black. If you couldn't distinguish between people [everyone was the same on the outside], you think they would still act the same way? If so, they're not trying to be black. And aren't you just sbeing racist saying he can't act like that because of his skin color? Hmm.

I dont approve of anyone saying it. I agree that theres ignorance of a races or colours if they expect to be able to say something that others cant.

Hes not trying to be a skin colour. The only celebrity who is; is Jacko
Hes being what he is. Hes "street". Hes grown up with PEOPLE (you would say "blacks" here) who made him the way he is. Hes a good DJ, he is who he is and Im sure hes pretty happy with who he is.
I dont see anything fake about him and the only reason you do is because you are prejudice. You a prejudging Westwood on his skin colour and saying he should not act the way he does because of that.

Were arent you just a nice little racist
