White/Black (Racism) Debate.

Cracker is a reference to poor southern Americans who cracked nuts open for money. ****** has a lot more history behind it and it goes along the lines pf how it was previously used is what makes it offensive - as well as degrading. I think neither word should be used by anyone as most people who use the terms would not like to infront of a person of the colour they were discriminating againstand therefore they are hypocrites as well as racists
People think that because they have white skin other people with white skin could not be racist - as they are the same race. Typically in the modern world there is no racism on someone of the same skin colour - because people think race IS skin colour. This is not the case.

 

The N word was an "ancient" (about 500 years ago) word for "black" by the way; you can see it used in some of Shakespeare's poems.

Actually I think the reason for their lower IQ is the fact that in the past they were less educated than "white" people. They lived in poverty, and were mostly slaved in America; thus not giving them a chance to really evolve from their old thinking. I think this problem will be resolved in another hundred years in the United States.

 

i belive that when a African American can call a white person a "cracker" "white trash" ect...ect... then a white person has all the right to call them the "N" word, and really the "N" word means a ignorant black person.

same with talking about mexican's people call them "wet backs" "beaners" "cottin pickers" ect...ect... when really.... umm DE DA DE they are the only ones LEFT that will do the work that ( make up precent ) 99% of people wouldnt want to do ! ok fine ill make it even, if u want to call them a name then YOU go do there job. Ex. go work in a feild, go put up some Roofing, go cut grass, go paint house's ..ect...ect...

I really don't think many people are racist at all, if anything I think black people are more racists towards white people then the other way around.

 

Uhh no, it's nothing to do with that. Black families who have migrated to places like Germany etc have had children there. These children have grown up to have normal IQs. The difference in America is due to the fact that black people are poor.

Racism, as seen fit as such by todays community, is mainly based of stereotypes, when dealing with black/white.

A white person might stereotype blacks as reckless, foolish, lazy, and obnoxious. Why? Simply because where they live, and what they've seen on TV, has portrayed blacks to be that way. The many negatives you hear about the world are stereotyped around blacks.

Blacks have gangwars.
Blacks use more drugs than whites.
Blacks are more violent.

It's a fact that the stereotype isn't true, because you can't speak for the whole race, but a main part of racism does reside around that kind of thing.

As for "N*****", of course a black person will not like a white person.

You are not your ancestors, but the fact still remains.

Whites made the word to insult blacks, and gave them their own categorization, which wasn't exactly meant to belong to human, because they considered blacks not worthy to be called a human at the time.

When a white calls a black that insult, it is just as if a slave-master is calling his slave an insult.

When a black calls a black that "word", it is just as if a slave is calling another slave that word. It's joking. Slaves use to call each other that all of the time, simply to joke, and mock their slave master.

Also, blacks are racist against whites, and vise versa, because some know what happened in the past, and haven't gotten over it.

A person you were possibly related to use to whip and beat and degrade a person I was possibly related to. Your people use to beat my people.

White people did not enslave black people. Black tribe rulers sold their people to white explorers for the riches that whites presented them. The whites then went back to America, and made the blacks their personal tools, exchanging them occasionally with other whites. It was if blacks weren't people. No white person MADE a black become a slave. Once that person was sold, he had two choices.

1.) Do as his tribe leader told him, and what the white man told him, and be a good little slave.
2.) Run away, risk being caught, beat, whipped, lynched, and other assortments.

 

Meh, in exchange for getting into America out of the shithole they used to live in, I'd say it's a fair trade-off.

In African slavery you had rights, had a chance to gain freedom, and were treated better. They didn't know the extent they were selling their "Prisoners of War" to. Also, after awhile, the Spanish/Soon to be called Americans, they went back and enslaved the people they bought the slaves off in the first place because of greed.

Also, some of the things people said on this thread are stereotypical and are wrong. It's an equality to the amount of racist doing drugs, and both races are equally violent, if not a tad bit more.

We're talking about "lawn mowing, roof cleaning, burger flipping" Mexicans. I think it's fair that Americans accept them, and treat them like shit, in exchange for them being treated like more shit in Mexico. Nobody's forcing them to migrate into America...

 

Yea... because being torn away from your family so that you can come to the "land of the free" where you are then forced to work day in and day out and be beaten when anything goes wrong is always nice to have happen.

They only do those jobs because that's all they can be hired to do. They get less than minimum wage as the majority of them,if not all, are illegal and can't get a real job.

Aren't you from Australia..? And what problems would they be bringing exactly? They were forced to go to the new country and leave all they knew behind them.
