I may be wrong, but I don't think Marijuana creates tar in your lungs since it doesn't contain the same chemicals as a Cigar or a Cigarette, which is one of the main reasons for people wanting to get it legalized.

 

pot dosnt put tar in your lungs, over like hundreds of years it might put something in your lungs but it basicly does nothing to your lungs, because once you have inhaled it many people may not agree but you only need to hold the smoke in for like half a second for all of the THC to be absorbed into your body.

okay first off i was going to reply to this but then i saw <3's picture and i went to jerk it. now im back.

i think it either will never be legal or it will be in 100 years
i think its because of how people act under the influence that makes people not like it or go against it

 

personally i think 100 years is way to long to get it legalized by the way people are allready pushing for it. I'de say the next 10 years imo.

 

Pretty much is legal where I'm at in Cali. You can spark up a blunt and walk by a cop and they won't give a shit, sometimes they'll crack a joke about the quality of the herb or tell you to put it out on public but out here no one cares. Not only that but it's decriminalized so the max punishment you can receive for under an ounce is a $100 fine, not even a misdemeanor or anything at all.

I also have access to hundreds of dispensaries and delivery services and independent sellers. There's more pot shops than there are Starbucks out here lol. Anyone can get their medical card too.

Feels good living in Cali.

 

Where I live you can be sentenced for life if caught smoking and sentenced to death if you are a dealer...

It leaves tar - I never said otherwise. Most major studies against marijuana measure the tar contained from burning leaves, the part of the marijuana plant that contains the least THC but the most tar. If you compare the tar content in a bud to the tar content in a single cigarette, you'll see why there is no logical reasoning as to why cigarettes are legal and marijuana is not.

Then comes the fact that you do not even need to smoke it to consume it. There are many ways to consume marijuana and achieve a high which do not involve smoking.

Edit: Does anyone have an argument against marijuana that involves the drug itself? Smoking anything will leave tar in your lungs. (Not even counting the fact that Marijuana is known not to increase chances of lung cancer on its own)

Did you guys know that AM404, a metabolite of acetaminophen (common pain killer) is a cannabinoid (ie, similar to thc, active component of marijuana)? In fact, it's the only reason acetaminophen is even slightly effective in what it does. You can even compare acetaminophen and marijuana for pain relief:

One slightly dulls pain and kills your liver in the process. One not only kills pain, but minimizes symptoms of many diseases, and causes no harm to the body.

The first is acetaminophen and the second is marijuana.
