I think instances like that one are good examples of why we need something like this suggestion.

No reason not too. Its a win win. Educates the Newcomers.

 

Maybe have sythes little version of tutorial island?
Where it warns you of the scammers and shows you around the forum.

 

I think it's insane this hasn't been added in yet.

Even if it's just a couple of quick links to the rules and FAQ, it can only help.

 

Matthew seems busy as of late, so I'll PM him later about this, and it's probably post VB4.

Everyone receives a welcome email. My suggestion is to include links that would help newcomers, either in the email or as an automated PM the first time you log into Sythe

 

It could help people and teach them newbies things on what to do and not to do
but on the other hand most will ignore -No support

 

I see this happening, but I don't see it happening until after VB4.

It will come soon, a lot of work has gone into it and it's just about ready. Matthew just needs Richard (Sythe) to address a few remaining issues that need to be addressed and then we should be ready to upgrade.
