Add to donor FAQ about direct donations

I'll support, I met this criteria and spent $30 extra for wolfrunescape to donate $100 for me lmfao.

Eh. In the list of donation methods, there is a tab under paypal showing how to directly donate via paypal. Making it more clear could be added at the bottom of a to-do list I suppose.

You need the requirements to donate yourself via paypal.

 

Yep, thats the thing. It's not visible until you see the requirements (i believe?). I'm suggesting for more visibility about how to donate directly. It's apparent so far that some users donate more than what's necessary before figuring out that they can donate directly.

 

I want to donate but i seem so lost, We need a better way to assist new comers.

 

Support for this, it was only because of this thread that I knew to just get a $5 donation and donate the rest via paypal myself. Can't see it listed anywhere else before you're a donor.

 

If somebody can write a mockup on what needs to be changed and/or told to the newcomers who want to donate, please do post here.

Adding the link is fine but I'm not a fan of encouraging users to bypass bond holders for the reason explained earlier. Just add the faq link only.

 

Is there no reason that it can show on the options when you don't meet the requirements? Maybe some kind of like hover over saying "you don't yet meet these requirements xxxxxxx"

 

I think you should have to continue making your first donation thru someone, then when you meet the criteria you can donate yourself. I wanted to donate $200 but when i saw all of these bond holders trying to charge 10-20% i wasn't interested. I then saw someone mention i could donate directly, donations aren't in place to benefit a bond holder they're supposed to be "helping" from I've read for ex. maybe you can charge like a few extra bucks for taxes or w/e but from what i understand they treat it as income, I think it should be more clear you can donate directly. If sythe needs more bond holders for smaller percentages I'd be happy to assist.

As a normal, the chances of you going to donate at this page is very high. However, as a normal user, the paypal direct option is not visible.

I think the page should either have the direct paypal link say: Paypal (Direct) and then redirect to requirements to donate direct or have paypal (direct) disabled and have bullet points of the requirements.

I'm sure that if donators know that they could save money or donate more by not using a bond holder, they would. It also directly helps sythe by doing this.

 

Why, specifically? More people donating directly would increase the overall amount of money Sythe is getting, as the ~10% fee charged by bond holders would all be donated instead.

 

not all bond holders charge a fee, and chargebacks are the reason

 

I support this, I don't see a reason why it should be hidden.
