My Proposal: Sythe.Org eMail

I know this may be a bit much to ask, but why doesn't sythe have a mail-server for regular users? I am suggesting this, purely because it would be an awesome and useful thing for users to have. If we were able to have Sythe emails, it would drastically increase the probability of catching imposters and scammers. Here is a little example of why it might be useful.

A Sythe user could request to have a Sythe.org email opened with his Sythe username. For example, there would be a forum where you could request an email to be opened in your name. The only allowed emails would be ones that are exactly your name or similar to your name. For example, I could be able to request an email account be opened with these addresses - [email protected] or [email protected]. And then I would be able to open an MSN with that email and use it.

This has been posted countless times; no one sees it as advantageous, and frankly, I don't see any gains by using it. It merely opens up 137, 000 new emails and gains us nothing. Plus it would be a lot of work for the staff, who would gain nothing for it. It would also be a pain in the ass to check them all the time. That's what private messaging is for...its built in.

 

Their already is a thread proposing this by Sythe himself, it appears a lot of people want it but their really is not a big need for it and the gains out of this are very small compared to the list of bad things.

You can easily make your msn [email protected] without actually owning it, which imposers do. This would just rise the level of scammers, unless they make it to where everyone has one Sythe e-mail only, when registering, with someway to stop impersonators.

Would I be able to send and receive emails though? Nope, I want an actual email, not just a fake email I can use for MSN

Webmail takes up too much space for free users, though sythe could always sell e-mail accounts!

 

Exactly. Making Sythe.Org Email would be a waste of time. Not many people would use it anyway. Thats why people have AIM, MSN, and regular emails. If they wanted to make Sythe.Org Email, then they wouldn't have made Private Messaging.

 

maybe people who really want it can pay for it so no space is wasted or time
