I agree that ruling out the fact that the game ate the gold would be quite hard to do especially since I'm at a GP shortage to prove this... But, you cannot rule out my proposed method he COULD have scammed me with! If you look at the Skype conversation, I didn't accuse him instantly, took me over an hour to call him out. Matter of fact, it was a lot of scrolling, but here is the ENTIRE conversation unedited... link here.

&& @Sythe a scammer would be willing to lie to defend himself if he's trying to look cool in front of a community. I wouldn't mind if this conversation was in a private skype call, honestly. Then everything is out in the open and you're forced to speak on reaction, not a long thought out post. But, if what I've provided and/or offered still isn't sufficient in your eyes. I am forced to rule out the 3rd possibility that the game deleted the gold. I'd have to have somebody's help though.... I'd need somebody to be 'Jefe' and do the EXACT same thing, but we will confirm it's 100m first so no chance of Cheat Engine.

It was just another video showing how you could of scammed using the table but seeing as the notion of scams have been debunked it's no longer relevant.

I haven't looked through the videos but just to clarify items put on tables don't despawn as quickly as items dropped on the floor. I don't know how long they take to appear to other players but its worth looking into.

Was a tip I picked up from a ult ironman video where he leaves a hammer on a table for well over 5 minutes while doing laps of mining & smithing

 

I have no idea how long it takes items to 'despawn' but, I've tested how long it takes to appear to other players and it's approximately 60 seconds.
