The only form of terrorism that people focus on now is the muslim terrorists. Do you not realize they aren't the only ones? The KKK, founded on Christianity, is an extremely racist group who wishes to inspire terror into the minorities such as African Americans.

Will they go to Hell too? Apparently, as long as they have accepted the lord Jesus as their savior, then no.

There was no innocent women. Also its their parents fault for not believing in god, obviously when their children grow up they will be the same as their parents.

If you have read the bible it says that Satan rules the earth. Of course they would lead us into temptation. Thats why we need strong faith.

We all have sinned the same. Our sins are forgiven when we pray for forgiveness. So there are no, who sinned more etc.

Is believing that there is more meaning in life, make us have a weak ego? Also, the percentage of Jews involved in the hard sciences is higher than for any ethnic or national group in the world. Check out the number of Jews who have been awarded Nobel prizes in the sciences, and then reflect on the fact that we represent 1.5% of the world's population. Then try to find out how many have been awarded to fundamentalists.

Oh, and if anyone's going to allege or speculate that the Jews who are scientists are atheists, be prepared to document and prove that claim. Maimonides was not only the greatest rabbi of his generation in 12th century Spain and Egypt; he was also the greatest physician.

So think again before you call us idiots.

Christianity is about belief. You Worldly people might look down on us calling us idiots for spending our time in church on lovely Sundays when we could be going out/partying etc.

Have you experienced anything with God? Have you encountered anything supernatural? Simply this;

You don't have to believe in our god, no one forced you. Nor do we really humanly benefit from dragging you towards Christ. But we only wish that we can save another person from entering hell.

We have something you don't; which is something almighty and powerful: Faith.

I live, and grew up in the state that the KKK was formed in. My history teachers have loved to focus on them.

Can somebody please define atheist? In your own words and textbook. Many people assume certain things when they think of an athiest, but is it more then just not believing in god? I am still trying to decide on my belief and am many years away from doing so. I would say that I do not yet believe in any god but I would not consider myself an atheist or containing many of the characteristics that go along with it.

When people talk of atheism on this forum they seem to define certain rules that go along with it. Similar to how Christianity has rules regarding sex or homosexuality. This seems to be like some sort of falacy, like atheism is some sort of religon outside of religon? Someone please help me out. Sythe, you will probably be the most helpful.

 

"Atheism promotes the search for truth?" If Atheists are, indeed, looking for "truth," they are to preoccupied too take the time to try to help out humanity. Most Atheists are content? If they are, then it contradicts your first sentence. You can't be content, yet look for the "truth."

I say, let people believe in what they want, but do not force upon them the views of which you have set your beliefs to.
If someone feels strongly enough about wanting to go to church or not wanting to at all then let them live their life that way, regardless everyone has a "thought" of what comes after, whether it be Heaven, Hell, reincarnation, or just another plain of existence.
There is always a time where a human being sits down and the thought goes through their mind, "Why are we here, What's the purpose of being here, and What's next after here", maybe not those exact words, but the thoughts are similar.

However, the answers are still untold, at least from the eyes of a skeptic .

That is contradicting your self, Atheism isn't a religion, it's the absence of it.

Other than that, someone willingly asking you about your "beliefs" is different than you trying to use it as a basis for lets say, small talk.

 

I believe they see it in the same way as literacy. When someone who can read and write sees someone who cannot, their mind immediatly goes to, how can I teach this person how to become literate. When many athiests encounter "a believer" a similar scenario plays out whereby the uneducated must be brought up to speed.
