The End of Odd Staking

I don't see them just implementing the tax as it doesn't really rid the arena of odds stakers, they'll use a combination of what they've proposed. Game integrity>player base it seems

 

Yea really depends how big they would make the max margin. I agree changing stats to max temporarily is retarded, this is OSRS not a private server goddamnit

 

heres something interesting. Lets assume thers about 1bil/minute staked on average at the arena.(100 10 mil stakes?)

per day that would be 14,400,000,000/day that is being taxed on the arena. (14.4b)? there would be no gold int he game lmao

 

No way the average amount beind staked is 1B/minute

 

the only thing that bothers me about the proposed updates is the tax.

if you do multiple sessions of 20m and every single one is taxed 1% that will be huge.

I can see big stakers going to gambling sites if this gets implemented.

 

really? theres at least 100 stakes a minute at the arena, don't tell me the average stake is much less than 10m

 

If everyone who is staking gets taxed it doesn't really matter. Yes it will be bit less profitable if you win alot but if you get cleaned the tax won't make the difference..
Would be a very good gold sink.
I do think that 0,5% is more reasonable.

 

Jagex is so off the mark here and for a team of that many people to come up with such an incomplete 'solution' is absolutely pathetic. If the average odd staker stakes +15% odds, and there is a 1% tax, they now get 14%. It literally does nothing. Also, if the point of adjusting the duel arena is to curb rwt, then allowing more people access to it isnt going to solve that problem. This isn't about jagex trying to fix the game, its that they are jaded that other people are profitting off of runescape and they don't have control... these ideas are so poorly thought through and naive, when these changes are implemented we will see a massive lashback

 

the update doesnt ruin odds staking, the tax does, but if they agree on doing an 90 vs 100% stake, its still good

 

being able to be max combat for anyone ruins odd staking too

 

this will mather quite a bit for people staking.

usually when you stake you don't just go 'aight ill chuck my bank win or lose im done' you usually do multiple sessions.

now if you do 20x 100m or 200m (this is normal) you are suddenly paying a lot more as each of those 20 stakes takes 1% of the pot.

everyone will be maxed... there will be no reason to fight for anything less than 50/50

 

yes but it's not easy to find opponents when you are staking with like 5b+ and then someone can make you 1.1x or so and u pay for it so u don't need to wait all day for a stake.

is such a small fraction of xing... rarely is there nobody willing to do big stakes... 5b maybe not but 500m-1b sure

Doesn't really achieve anything, if you were winning stakes with unloading weapons/rule switching you weren't doing much RWT anyway

 

has this update been implemented or is going to be? not staked in a while
