This in a nutshell (in my opinion):

Like what's the point of grinding up a main to have the sense of achievement knowing you can max stake now (I'm not saying that's the main point of maxing a main, however that's a perk that comes with the grinding to that status) if you can just make a level 3 account straight off tutorial island, and go maxed staking at the duel arena. If these updates go live this game will fall off very quickly.

 

Don't forget about OSRS mobile coming out. It will surely up the demand for gold.

i dont know why people take for granted that this changes will affect the player base , the only thing i see is oddstaker not playing anymore at max. they probably find something else to do tbh.
The tournamet world stats for staking , i dont see them going with it , probably they will try with the second option and then maybe do this if that failed but i think the chances of this coming out is pretty low.
i dont see this as bad for the game , maybe im wrong.

They can't remove betting from there game, it's been how many years since they removed dicing to 'end' bets which till today still goes on

RIP anyone who trains Max Stakers, atlas it will help rid the scammers of from the Rentals section making Sythe a safer place.

I can also see it increasing gold prices, more people able to stake, people in RS who've always wanted to stake but don't rent accounts will now be able to etc.

Especially with the release of Mobile and a possible influx of players, it is annoying that people work hard to max and then this happens though

I agree man, i purposely leveled account to max cb just for staking and now this bull shit comes out lol.

But i have a question, how does this affect rwt's in duel arena if you can just make a new lvl 3 account, set stats to all 99 and stake. If you get banned who cares bcuz it's a lvl 3 and you can just create a new acc.

 

its gonna devalue the gold price imo everyone is gonna stake their bank
