Texting your girlfriend

As long as both of you respond when texted and neither of you are too insistant the amount texted shouldnt matter

 

Constantly texting does not produce a "real relationship", there are much more efficient ways to express love then via virtual messages sent telephonically.

Me and my girlfriend vary how often we text, could be 5 texts a day, could be 50, or it could be 0. End of the day it means nothing, intimacy is what matters, don't compare yourself to your friends or feel socially pressured to excessively text her in order to justify your relationship to your friends.

Anyways, thanks guys. I pretty much have the same take on it as most of you do. I think we have a great relationship and when we're together there's always plenty to talk about. Occasionally "you tweeted that honey" happens and I think if we texted all day that'd happen a lot more. I'm 16 but I don't think I act like that in person. I'm a senior going off to college early and I've been working since the day I turned 16. It's a pretty mature relationship where I don't think either of us depend on texting each other all day

 

It's different for everybody.. personally I text my girlfriend a lot, but that's just us.. It just depends on the individual, you're definitely not 'weird' or 'different' because you don't, as long as your relationship is working you're not doing anything wrong.

 

So your friends call you gayboy when you have a girlfriend. Your friends are retarded. Don't let society influence how much you text your girlfriend; if both your girlfriend and you are happy then who gives a ...?

 

Why do you care? If your girlfriend doesn't say anything about it, then it obviously doesn't bother her. Your friends sound extremely immature for giving you such a hard time over something so stupid. Do they really call you gayboy? That's lame as shit. I would tell them to shut the hell up and don't talk about it with them anymore. They don't know what they're talking about and it's none of their business anyways.

Dimethyl you misunderstood my question. It's nothing about me personally I was simply giving some context as to why this question came to me. I'm not going to change my texting habits because of some answers on a forum although they generally agree with my current texting habits. Everybody calls everybody gayboy. Here in southern california is like calling somebody dude, practically.

 

However you feel about this, do not let thosep eople change what YOU do.

Honestly I don't like cellphones at all. I have some shitty nokia from the old kind that you can drop 3 stories in the middle of a call and it won't hang up.
I never text anybody really but then Facebook is ok for getting in touch fast
