    I would suppose the age group matters in terms of giving these types of presents. I'm only 18 so I suppose the girls I go out with aren't as materialistic as the ones you go out with.

    Don't get me wrong, nice jewelry usually works, but cheaper alternatives are just as good and occasionally is better :p
