Sythe's Popularity - Threatened?

There is a feature on RSBuddy called ArbiRedeem...

 

All others runescape market forums failed ,because sythe has uncorrupted mods, very good protection against scammers and mainly trusted and big sellers.

 

Almost every trader i've dealt with here is a scammer, lol. Even ones with high posts.

 

No one can be trusted over the internet :s not on sythe, or other online black markets alike.
Sadly you have to be careful with who you trade with and even how you trade

 

That's why RSBuddy seems like it will be a success. With Sythe you have to depend on trust and with the Ebay-like system it is simply a business transaction.

 

Yeah what he said, Sythe has been up so long now. People have built so much trust he it wouldn't be worth switching.

 

This is true.

Most of the legit traders in the RS Market use Sythe. They have obviously invested too much time in this site to switch to a new one. But there is nothing that says they won't use both and become less active on Sythe.

 

This looks like a good system....

Could have a bad effect on sythe IF followed through, But sythe will have a better community so I don't know.

 

I see this becoming something like PlayerAuctions. Safe, yes, but too much of a hassle if you're trading with someone really trusted.

 

It looks like a really good idea, guess we will just have to see how it plays out in the long-run.

 

Sythe is 1000x better, more members, far more trusted members

 

In my honest opinion, I don't think people will switch. But trusted people who market here would be foolish to not try and take advantage of the new system being implemented over at RSBuddy. So, no Sythe won't be threatened. But RSBuddy will definitely have a thriving market that a lot of people will be using. And if the people who sell here are smart at all, they wouldn't leave a market untapped.

 

Unfortunately, there are far more scammers as well.

 

Correct. Arbiter did infect his bot right after he left powerbot. Over 10k characters got cleaned (10k reported to be cleaned).

Im not worried about it. True Sythe members will remain here and chat it up and spam the spam forum claiming theyre first.
Sythe is much better then rsbuddy and always will be in my opinion.

It looks like eBay vs Craigslist; and Sythe also has the advantage of already having a bustling community, with a strong foothold and reputation

RSBuddy has great bots, so I expect their market to be good.
