Sythe's Market guide

Introduction

This guide is mainly to help users who have no clue how the market operates. And by reading it, being able to understand how Sythe market works with the intention of achievieng succesfull trades and the avoidance of scammers.

The market

Sythe market is one of the most popularly used for the purchase and sale of Internet game producer. Originally, when you enter the market, the reason will be because you want to sell or buy something.

1. For this, first of all, you will need to be registered on Sythe.

The market section is located on Sythe homepage. You will find different type of markets there. Usually you will visit the one you are attracted to.

To sell or buy something, you will need to create a thread:

Writing a title that sells

Things to include in your title

1. Character class: Priest, warrior, etc
2. Character level
3. Race or faction: Ranger, Melee, etc
4. Amount of health or magic points: 20k health, 17k mana, etc
5. Power: +756 spell damage, 25% spell haste, etc
6. Equipment level: Tier 6 gear, Dragon armour.
7. Ownership status

Example title: Lv 80 Ranger, 99 Ranging, T6 gear, original owner W/ Acc. info!

Things to avoid in your title

1. Overuse of advertising words “Awesome, amazing, must see, great deal, cheap, beautiful, look”
2. Incomplete details “72 mage” (This title did not mention race, faction,
bonuses, etc.)
3. Listing extra characters instead of describing the main character “Level 80 druid, 60 warlock, 60 mage, 60 rogue, 60 priest…” (Buyers will assume your main character is high level, but may be weak because a lot of time was spent playing extra characters.)
4. Stating that your For Sale Offer is offering a game account for sale “I am selling…”, “WTS…”

Writing a Description That Sells

1. Potential game account buyers want to quickly finish shopping and start playing. They will spend little or no time asking questions or waiting for answers from anyone who did not provide a fully detailed offer description. Your offer description is your game account’s sales pitch. You want to make sure you include all the details that will be attractive to your potential buyers:
2. What makes your game account special / unique?
3. What features of your game account would a potential buyer want to know?
4. Why should a potential buyer pay your asking price?
5. Things to include in your description
6. Basic character details: Level, class, race, faction, equipment level, progression accomplishments, etc
7. Game character attributes: Amount of health, strength, intelligence, etc
8. Character profiles: Profiles from sites like mywowarmory.com that displays character details and equipment
9. Images of your game character: Note: Consider removing character and guild names from images.
10. Images of your game character’s attributes or equipment (Note: This is an excellent alternative if you cannot create a character profile)
11. Equipment: Currently worn, carried, or stored for later use by your character
12. Special and rare equipment: Rare tools or magical items which cast spells or have special effects
13. Travel and combat mounts: Horses, Gryphons, Wolves, Raptors, etc
14. In-game currency of character
15. Raid progression: Exclusive and special game areas you have gained access to
16. Combat bonuses: Extra damage, damage absorption, etc
17. Skills and skill bonuses
18. Tradeskills and known valuable recipes
19. Game server type and transferability of characters
20. Availability of CD key used to create the game account
21. Game account ownership status and ownership history
22. Any special game account bonuses (such as a special anniversary edition award)

Something to avoid in your description

1. Requiring personal information: “You must give me your telephone, driver’s license…” PlayerAuctions verifies all members, and provides full protection from all forms of payment fraud.

What to do if I just sold/bought a product?

1. If trade went correct:

If there trade went correct, then you will need to vouch each other.
*A vouch is meant to be like a feedback, if trade went correct, then it should be positive and if it went wrong, negative*

Vouches forum link http://sythe.org/forumdisplay.php?f=518

If you dont have a vouches thread, you can simply create one there, naming it for example: "Seira's vouches thread"

1. If trade went wrong:

If the trade went wrong, eg: 'He scammed me', 'Lied about the product'
Then you should report it in the anti-scam section.

Link to anti-scam section: http://sythe.org/forumdisplay.php?f=518

How to detect a potential scammer

Some things that will give you a hint someone is a scammer are:
1. He disagrees to use a Middleman / Official Middleman.
2. He expects you to go first when you are way more trusted than them.
3. When they insist to use the program 'TeamViewer' for the trade:
4. Teamviewer Scams - They log into your computer and get full access of it while you can do absolutely nothing even when you lock the remote access.
So beware. I recommend not to use Teamviewer at all. You can request them for screenshots, if they disagree and still insists on using Teamviewer, ignore them. You'll not lose sales if you ignore 1 scammer. Do not be greedy.

Imposters

This is a common method of scamming in which a person creates a similar email of someone which the intention of pretending that the scammer is him. Commonly, the scammers try to imitate highly trusted sythe members so people that doesnt notice, think they are them.

Example:
-A highly trusted Sythe member email is: [email protected]
-Imposter tries to copy his email: [email protected]

So I highly recommend you to always verify the emails.

What is a Middleman / Official Middleman?

1. Middleman (MM): They are used to make the trade safe. A tip when choosing one is to check how trusted they are. You can do this by checking his positive feedbacks in their vouches thread.

Middleman forums: http://sythe.org/forumdisplay.php?f=307

You can also start your own Middleman service there :)

2. Official Middleman (OMM): They are highly trusted Sythe players that help the community to keep a safe-trading environment. They work as common Middlemans but with the guarantee that the trade will be 100% safe.

Official Middleman forums: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1302647

How to do a trade with a Middleman

After you checked in the Middleman/Official Middleman forums and found someone that you feel comfortable doing the trade with. Enter his thread and contact him. This can be via Email, etc. (Usually they put an email where you can contact them). Then you must present your chosen middleman to the other buyer/seller to see if he agrees to use him. There are different middlemans for different products; Middlemans that do Account trades, Middlemans that do Gold trades, etc.
1. When you both agreed to use the middleman, the trade with him should go like this:

1. I will explain it with an example as it will be more clearly to understand:
Seller's product An account worth 40$
2. The buyer will provide the 40$ to the middleman, and once he did this, the seller will provide the account information to the middleman, he will verify that the information is correct, once he verifyies it and its correct, he will passes the information to the buyer, once the buyer check the account and checks that the information of the description in the account's thread matches the account he will inform the middleman. Once he did this, the middleman will give the buyer's money that he has been holding since the start of the trade. And trade will end.

Basic trading rules

1. The use of Middlemans/Official middlemans: To keep the trade safe
2. Taking screenshots during the trade - To use it as evidence in the anti-scam section if he scams you (Chat logs, the thread of the product being sold).
3. Contact information: It is necessary to include this when you are selling/buying a product to facilitate the people to contact you.

Curious, is there a preference if the thread is long or short or does it not matter?

Long enough to not be crappy but not too long that its too hard to read. :p But I'd go with longer is better as long as it isn't a block of text and is broken up nicely.

Can it be RuneScape related or does the guide have to be vague enough to include all types of trading?

As long as it gives basics of not getting scammed, it can be RS related. I mean, we can always choose more than one guide to sticky.

NOTE: I may extend the deadline a little. Doesn't much matter to me but Verts will be giving out a COMPETITION WINNER RANK to the winner.

Just a suggestion, if it isn't already the idea (or intention), when the winning guide is chosen it should automatically be PM'ed to newly registered users. This way they will be sure to see it, and it will better serve its purpose.

Introduction to Trading

Trading can be used to advance in a game, in addition to adding some money in your pockets. Reading this guide will teach you the basics of trading throughout the Sythe.org Market.

Basics of Trading

Before you start trading, it is highly suggested getting yourself a MSN for 2 main reasons:

• Great way to communicate with the person you are trading with

• If you happen to get scammed it will be a lot easier to file a report if you end up getting scammed (more information on this below)
To download MSN click here
You should also download puush
Puush allows you to easily capture anything throughout your computer screen and upload it for you. This is very useful when trading with someone so in case they scam, you will have proof.

How to File A Scam Report

Reading this sticky here will help you make a proper scam report.
Once you're done gathering all the proof you need, create a new thread here and wait for a moderator to give you an answer back!

Trading

You have to find someone you want to trade with. When looking for a trader you should look for 5 things to determine their trustworthiness. You shouldn't use any one of these to determine whether you should trust them but rather all of them combined.

1. Vouches : When looking at the vouches, always remember that quality is more important than quantity. Consider this: one trader has 100 vouches, for 10 million each (The amount that was traded, this could be anything: GP, accounts, questing, skilling, etc.)
A second trader has 1000 vouches for 1 mil each, which one would you trust more? You are better off trusting the first trader since he/she has traded and handled more at one time. You should also consider if they used a MM/OMM, went first or second and what the trade was for.

2. Rank : A user that has earned the rank of Moderator/Administrator/OMM could be trusted a lot more than a regular user. That being said, users can be trusted more than people with ranks but with all I said you need to consider all factors. This should be the 2nd thing you look at to determine their trustworthiness.

3. Join Date : If they joined this month I would be wary of them and if they joined a long time ago I would give them a little more trust points :). Note: some scammers who legitimately traded years ago come back and are now using their "trust" to scam. This should be the 3rd thing you look at to determine their trustworthiness.

4. Donation Status : If someone has donated not only does it show that they supported Sythe but it also gives them a little trust points. The reason I say this is why would someone scam $50 if they donated $100? However some scammers use previously stolen money to donate, so this should be the 4th thing you look at to determine a trader's trustworthiness.

5. Post Count : High post counts shows they spent time on Sythe and are less likely to waste it on scamming. Beware though this should be the Last thing you look at to determine their trustworthiness.
Scammers usually spam their post count up to give themselves false trust

Please use all of these factors as well as your instinct to determine somebody's trustworthiness.

Do's and Don'ts of Trading

Do

• Request a PM
• Take lots of pictures
• Don't rush the trade
• End the trade if you feel unsafe
• Use a MM/OMM as much as possible

Don't
• Rush the trade
• Be pressured
• Continue with the trade if you feel unsafe

How a Trade Usually Goes Down

The traders come into contact and decide who is going first (this is eliminated with the use of a MM/OMM) . The trader who is going first gives the goods to the other trader. The other trader then holds up their end of the bargain and gives the other trader what they traded for.

Ranks

Many ranks have been made since Sythe.org exists, but what do they all represent?

If a player has the rank ''Trade With Caution'', you need to be careful when trading. Even though some of them only got it because their account wasn't secure, some others can get it because they have already scammed in the past, but they refunded their customer.
This rank is mostly given to a user, when The Staff think the user is a thread for Sythe.org

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
Donator rank varies on the amount of money they have decided to donate to support Sythe.

[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Moderator can mean a lot of things, considering the good amount of rank there is.
All of them are doing necessary task all around the forums.

Administrator means they have been hand-picked by Sythe to help running the site smoothly.
They are the one who take care of the management tasks.

For more information about what each and every administrator task is, please click here.

OMM means they have completed a rigorous application and are Official Middle Men.

If you are interested in learning how The Staff is chosen, click here.

List of Rules to Remember While In the Market

Please also read the full list of rules for Sythe.org here

You will receive 1 infraction for breaking any of the rules below:

• Spamming: Posting useless comments such as “nice account”, “cool”, “free bump!”

• Excessive Bumping: you are only limited to bumping your thread ONCE every 8 hours. Deleting a previous bump and a new one without waiting 8 hours is also against the rules. When answering back some of the replies to your thread, avoid double posting!

• Begging: Asking for free any items or accounts is not allowed!

• Requiring Vouches: Requiring/Promising a vouch is not allowed, vouches are given when the buyer/seller feels you deserve the vouch!

• Grave Digging: If a thread has not been posted on for a few weeks/months, don’t post on it. The only exception for this is in the Spam Forum.

Note: All Sythe.org Official Rules apply in the Market and a buildup of infractions will result to temporary bans and sometimes permanent!

Scamming: Impostors & Fake Vouching

Unfortunately, scammers are present in Sythe’s community. Even though it’s only a minority, you better be aware of it.
Scamming goes from not giving the payment at all to impersonating others member and even self-vouching or if you prefer, fake vouching.
A rule was established to prevent all forms of scam possible:

A person caught in the middle of a wrongful act will be PERMANENTELY banned off the forums!*
* in the majority of the scamming attempts.
** the banned user can always post an appeal.

• Impostor
is one of the most present form of scam on Sythe.
An impostor is someone that will impersonate another member, by making an alternative e-mail that will look extremely similar to the current member.
To prevent getting scammed by an impostor, it is suggested to request a private message, which can be sent by clicking on the user’s name:

Writing a simple private message, as the following one, can prevent MANY scams:

Always WAIT until the user answers your private message. Make sure whoever is sending you a PM includes some of the conversation and leaves their MSN.

Make sure to double check that you’re talking to the right person, on MSN; Check in your MSN list, not on the chat window!

To do:

NOT to do:

NEVER check on the current messaging session, to verify the e-mail, as it can easily be changed.

• The last but not the least, Fake Vouching.

A lot of people have been trying to acquire trust by faking their vouches or even self-vouching.
Doing so is counted as scamming, as you’re taking advantage of the system.

To know if the vouch is actually a real one, it’s as simple as clicking the small arrow next to the vouch:

If it happens that the arrow , showed in the above example, isn’t present, it’s definitely a vouch that you can NOT trust.

Another example of fake vouching would be this:

1. [IMG]

Noticed how the vouches both look like real ones?

When you click on the small arrow, showed before, you’ll notice that in fact, the correct vouch is the first one, as the information in the second one got modified, which is considered as scamming [Fake Vouching].

Not sure if the Seller/Buyer is trusted? Use A Middleman!

What's A Middleman?

A middleman is someone you can go to if you don’t trust the person you are trading with. They will try their best to make the trade go smoothly so no one gets scammed. There are two types of Middlemen:

• Official Middleman (OMM)

An OMM is someone who’s MM Application has been accepted by the staff members. You can find a list of OMM and how much each of them charges here. To read more about OMM read a guide written by FlyingToast here.
Note: OMM will have this rank under their name!

• Middleman (MM)

A MM is someone who is currently trying to complete the MM Application and they’re usually free of charge. You can choose whether to trust the MM by looking at their vouches and experience with the previous MM they have completed. You can find them here.
Note: Anyone can say they are MM, so be careful on the one you choose!

Vouches: What Are They?

A ''Vouch'' is a comment that you leave to the trader or a middleman, after the trade, to tell other users how the trade was.
It is seen like a sort of reputation, as most users base how they trust a user over vouches.

A good example of a vouch would be this:
Try to briefly explain the trade; do not make it too complicated or too long.

Making it too short could bring doubts in the mind of staff members, as fake vouching isn’t allowed on Sythe. Vouches as the following one are poor quality and not worth much:

It is highly recommended to make a Vouch thread as soon as you enter Sythe to make things easier, by simply clicking [IMG], at your top left, in the Vouches Forum.

A Beginner's Guide To The Marketplace

Table Of Contents

• Introduction To Sythe's Marktetplace
As a member of Sythe.org, you'll be able to explore the vast marketplace, reply/create your own threads, gain your own vouches, and get established in the market/forum. You will find that there are many sections within the marketplace, each one revolving around a different aspect, like WoW, Runescape, Steam, Non-Virtual items and more. In this guide I am going to cover the major points when using the marketplace, like scammers, MM/OMM, ranks, vouches, contact methods and more. If there is a term you are unfamiliar with, then it will most likely be explained in a further section.

• Scammers, and how to avoid them
Scamming is against the official Sythe rules, and anyone who is convicted of scamming with solid proof will be banned. Scammers are sad low-lifes in which you should strive to avoid, I've been scammed in my first trade sadly due to lack of knowledge in trading safety and precautions. Luckily for you I've outlined everything you need to know about scammers, and how to avoid them, so you don't learn the hard way. Look out for someone who:

1. Will not go first under any circumstances.
2. Refuses the use of a trusted MM, or OMM.
3. Is offering higher prices for something that can be bought for considerably cheaper (PayPal chargeback).
4. Is offering a really good runescape account for yours, and his is considerably better (Account recovery).
5. Is trying to sell a really good runescape account for extremely cheap ex: Lvl 138 for only $20 (Account recovery).
6. Wants to use TeamViewer, and does not have any kind of reputation. I recommend you not use this at all, and if you decide to make sure it's with someone who's trusted.

• MM, MiddleMen, OMM, Official Middlemen
The term OMM stands for Official Middleman, these are people who you can trust assuredly. Basically what they do is ensure that a trade goes according to plan, without anybody getting scammed. They handle both of the trader's goods and and give them to the new owners. In order to become an OMM you must be trusted, have completed many MM's before, apply for the rank, and get accepted.

This is the list of OMM's: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1302647.

The term MM stands for Middle Man, these are people who offer to MM your trades. Be wary anybody can be a MM, even somebody without vouches/posts. If you're looking for a good, reliable MM I would reccomend you look for one with many vouches, for decent sized trades. If they have vouches for MM'ing trades, that's also a plus because they have experience.

This is where you can find MM's: http://sythe.org/forumdisplay.php?f=307.

• The Ranks Of Sythe
Administrators
Global Moderators
Sectional Moderators

• Vouches
Vouches are what many people base trust off of, basically a vouch is a record of a successful trade, and sometimes a nice word is thrown in for the person being vouched for. The more vouches someone has generally makes him/her more trusted, an example of a vouch looks like this:
There's something you need to look out for known as fake vouching. You will notice by the poster's name there is a clickable arrow, when you click on this you will be directed to the original post. If the original post is different, something like a bigger quantity or something that's there now but not in the original, you found yourself a fake vouch. Here's an example of a fake vouch:
When you click on the arrow you're redirected to a post, that contains the same trade but considerably bigger. This gives people a false sense of trust and should be reported in the Report a Scammer section.

• Contact Methods

I'm still working on this!

A Beginners guide to the Sythe Marketplace

So you have decided that you should get something out of your long investment into one of many MMO's or other games that are a part of the Sythe marketplace. As you may be able to tell from a forum further down called "Report a Scammer" there are plenty of people who are willing to rip newbies off for their own benefit. That is likely why you have come here, to learn the ropes of the market place, and I will help you, having been on Sythe.org since August of '05 (4 months after the forum was started).

Getting Started Before Your First Trade

Now before you do your first trade there are some things you have to realize:

1) The first thing you want to do is read the rules and become acquainted with them, don't want to earn unnecessary infractions because you didn't follow proper procedures. You can find the rules here: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?p=10258892#post10258892

2) There are two types of traders on Sythe, those afraid of being scammed and scammers, its very difficult to tell them apart, however if you can't discern whether you are going to be scammed or not best to just walk away from the trade.

3) Nobody even in the face of overwhelming evidence will admit to being a scammer, similar to how no athlete even in the face of overwhelming evidence will admit to using steroids.

4) Only trust the official MM and other staff members of this website as they have submitted personal information that can be used to hold them accountable for their actions.

5) As a new member on this website, you haven't established any trust yet as for all we know you are just a scammer on another account, to earn trust you are going to have to complete lots of successful trades and never try to scam anyone. As such it creates a good impression when you take care of MM fee's or at least take care of the greater part of them for larger trades, Its also an action that promotes trust like telling a girl you got a rubber on you before you hook up.

6) Before you start your first trade you are going to want to setup a vouch thread so whoever you have traded with successfully can vouch for you being legitimate. It is common courtesy to vouch back for the person you traded with, and will eventually create a web of people you know you can trust.

In order to start a vouch thread navigate to the vouches forum in the market section:

Placeholder for image

Click the new thread button and title it "(Your name)'s Vouch Thread" so that it is easy to search for, In the text you can put anything like here they are or something so you can create the topic as the text is meaningless, you can update the post with quotes containing vouches from the thread but be sure to follow the rules regarding this which are in the sticky located here: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=721014

placeholder for image

Lastly you are going to want to put the link to your vouch thread in your signature for quick access to anyone you trade with.First you want to start at your vouch thread and copy the URL there, then you click on User CP in the top bar and click on edit signature

From here you may want spice it up with some bb code but basically just paste the url between the bbcode tags for url and add some text that lets people know its your vouch thread.

Buying

In order to sell/buy things in the marketplace you first have to get someone to buy/sell it. Buying on the marketplace is currently the easier of the two because of the multitude of threads to search through, but from my personal experience as a mod/admin is the more likely of the two to get scammed. Selling can be the harder of the two, but if you are trading for a virtual currency once you have it, it isn't going anywhere.

The best way to go about buying something in the marketplace is to browse the marketplace sections with regards to what you are looking to buy, Navigate to the appropriate sub-forum search for what you are looking for. If you cannot find what you are looking for then you may start a thread, keep in mind some parts of the market have separate sub forums for buying and selling. When you are making the thread about buying and selling be sure to including pertinent information in the title such as you are buying, what you are looking to buy and the currency you are exchanging with. In the thread you should go into a bit more specific details like what items or character levels or intervals of money you wish to trade and how you can be contacted, here are some examples below:

placeholder for images

Once you have made your thread, you simply wait to see who responds. When you are waiting, I encourage you to check out and post in the other sections of the forum, if you are having problems finding your thread again you can look in the threads you are subscribed to, which you can find by clicking User CP then Subscribed Threads.

Placeholder for image

After a period of time someone is likely going to make some offers to you as to an account, some gold or service, or items to trade. Its best if you have an idea of an average price you are looking to pay for your specific item and letting any sale go that is outside of your reaches. Always take the err of caution if a deal seems too good to be true, as it most likely is too good to be true. If your thread activity is dying down you are allowed to "bump" it no more than once every 8 hours. A bump is classified as a short message such a bump or thanks or likewise that is intended to bring your thread to the front page of that particular forum. Make sure you follow the rules in regards to bumping to avoid infractions.

After you have bought whatever you wish to buy make sure you post in your thread that you have purchased what you were looking for including editing your first post entailing what you were looking to buy, and perhaps asking for a mod to lock the thread so you don't get random PM's about it.

Selling

When you are selling in the marketplace its a bit different that buying. The first step is to identify the right forum that your product or service belongs in. For example Runescape gold goes into Runescape Markets -> Gold Exchange -> Selling. Make sure you make your thread in the correct subforum to get the most exposure that you want.

When making a thread you want to have the title outline the basics of what you are selling, like the level of the account, the type of account, what server(s) the account is on or the amount of gold/price per x amount of gold, or what service you are offering. Inside the thread should contain more details about the account like some skill levels, champions unlocked/any gold/credits/points it has, how much gold you are selling in total prices, accepted payment methods and contact information. Pictures of the account you are selling are very helpful in finding a buyer as they can see a lot more about the account. Here is a good example of a thread selling a Runescape account:

Placeholder for images.

Now you will have people that will make offers to you, lots of people will make posts and say that they will add you on msn/aim/skype/whatever. Talk to them there and once you have an offer you accept you are ready to trade. Once you sell yourself out or sell your account make sure to change your post about the sale and ask for a thread lock.

Much like buying if you find your thread activity slowing down you can bump it once every 8 hours, be sure to follow the guidelines as to what bumping is in the official rules which are linked above.

Before and during The Trade

Before the trade occurs there are some things you want to do to make sure you are safe during the trade:

1) Make sure you know who is on the official MM list, what is their correct contact information, what their fee's are and what type of trades they do.

2) Make sure if you are trading accounts that it is in a trade-able status, you have all items you want off it, you have all the pertinent recovery information to give to the buyer and that an Official MM will be available to do this trade.

3) If buying a service make sure you only leave the items necessary on your account to have the service provided and if providing a service DON'T TAKE ANYTHING MORE THAN NECESSARY AS THIS IS CONSIDERED SCAMMING.

4) If using PayPal or another 3rd party payment website make sure that account is not banned/locked and is ready to be used to the extent of the trade.

During the trade there are several steps you can use to be safe:
1) Always use an Official MM, the application process is extremely difficult to pass and they have traded in total a minimum of $2,500 without scamming. Never do the you first/50-50 system's as those are 99.9% of the time scams.

2) If in doubt of the validity of the trade back out, if it seems sketchy back out. If they invite an official MM, but the address is not exactly what is listed this is 99.99999% of the time a scam.

3) ALWAYS GET A PM FROM THE OMM AND THE PERSON YOU ARE TRADING. You should ask them to paste a part of the MSN/aim/skype/yahoo conversation to you as a PM as this is undeniable proof that they are IN the conversation 1st or 2nd hand and should any scamming occur they will be held accountable. Example pm is here:

Placeholder for image

4) Always take pictures of the entire conversation once the transaction is made in case they charge back the money or recover the account they sold you. If you don't it will be hard to get proof to ban them.

5) If the trade was successful then vouch for the person in their vouch thread assuming they have one and have them vouch for you.

Should the Unthinkable Happen

Getting scammed happens to everyone, its happened to me twice i believe I think you'd be fairly hard pressed to find anyone who has been on this website for over a year who hasn't been scammed. If you get scammed you will instinctively become emotionally charged, but its important you keep a cool head and follow these steps.

1) Take screenshots of the conversation on whatever messenger system you used as well as screenshots of the private messages confirming that the person you were trading with was the real person.

2) If you dealt with PayPal take screenshots of your PayPal account if it was charged back and make sure it says unauthorized payment or something like that.

3) Go to the report a scammer section and fill out the most applicable template found here: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1118369

4) If the staff ask for any addition information be sure to provide it.

Final Notes

In closing following the advice of this guide is a good way to remain relatively safe when performing trades on sythe.org, however nothing is 100% guaranteed to keep you from being scammed as we are dealing these goods illegitimately, also if you follow these methods it is the most reliable way to eventually become a trusted user. Here is to some happy successful trading.
