Sythe's Popularity - Threatened?

It's going to take a lot to get sythe users that have gained trust to move onto another website. It just wont happen

+ This site doesn't look too reliable, judging by the opinions.

 

I'll post on their site for trades ect.. just like I do with PB, MMOexchange .. But I will not be active like I am for sythe

 

Looks good. I'm surprised some of you guys still believe Arbiter was behind the powerbot hacks. There were countless pictures leaked that showed Paris talking about framing/ddosing/stealing accounts. Any way I have done some trades with Arbiter and from what I can see he is trusted and high quality admin. I think he can do it with out going to the same road that Powerbot went down.

 

Isn't the problem with an eBay style market that Jagex will contact them and tell them to stop? The reason you're not allowed to sell Runescape stuff on eBay is because Jagex contacted them and told them not to let people use eBay to violate the Runescape ToS. With a forum style marketplace, Sythe is in the clear, since they never really participate in the sale, they just host it.

Unfortunately, if this actually does come into reality, I can see it becoming as popular as Sythe's market, due to the fact that it will discourage scammers.

 

Looks promising, but I doubt I'll ever be using it. I'll stick to sythe + PA..

 

I'm staying here, as i beleive most of the other users will.

However, i DO beleive it acts as somewhat of a threat to Sythe. Think of it this way - a vast amount of current and future runescape players turn to botting, most are young and naive and will most likely try out the RsBuddy market, simply because of their pre-existent relationship with them, due to there Botting front. This could cause Sythe to loose future players, not current and old ones.

 

RSbuddy, isint trustworthy not to me anyway, i never feel completely safe running there scripts.

 

Nah sythe and RSbot are two compeltly different things. Nothing can compete with Sythe.

 

Sythe is way more legit then Rsbuddy will ever be won't be switching any time soon.

I'd have to agree with you 100%.
I love watching communities grow and expand and Sythe just seems to have its own welcoming atmosphere. Something many modern communities lack.
I don't think Sythe's Popularity will be damaged at all for whatever challenges RSBuddy might present.

 

Sythe will never be beaten by any new blackmarket. Sythe keeps on growing, more than 10 people register a day, and stay active. No ther blackmarket I went on was as legit and safe as sythe. Sythe may have some scammers, but majority are legit. Compared to powerbots, rsbuddy and so on, sythe is legit. It can never been annihilated. I love Sythe, next to home

No but on topic:

I looked at RSBuddy awhile back and didn't even hesitate to leave.
However that is an incredibly smart move on their part.
They have not only a place on their website for botters to check out, now people can sell the gold & items they bot on the very same website.
It's convenient to say the least.

It will probably be popular at first, then fail hard core because scammers can still scam regardless of "systems" because it still involves off-site contact (On Runescape), if you've scammed before you can do 100+ legit trades, but there's no doubt in my mind that you'll scam again, give it time.

 

Won't get anywhere near as popular as sythe

 

Me too, the idea is good, but we have the same on Player Auctions, I just do not like that sellers need to use a Paypal on here.

 

Sythe has a good community base for the most part. I'm not just here to profit.

 

Well, only time will tell.

 

Based on the setup, it looks like that site would take some kind of fee or something, much like PA. People come to sythe to avoid those extra fees

 

Plus, I've always found that user to user communication works better and is more welcoming than the overwhelming automated trading systems.
