I didn't expect that it's awfully hard to think of it!!!!

    I guess, nothing in general.

    Purpose of life?

Is biological life not distinct from cultural life? I can't imagine an oak tree and an orphanage having very much in common. Of course, each serves a purpose, does it not?

Be careful not to be quick to conclude with absolute certainty the existence of a singular meaning, let alone a purpose, to life.

    Purpose of life?

How is it not what you said? We have to think of our own. It is not pre-determined or set in anyway. If we have to "create" it, how can it exist? Just as we have created good and evil, or God. Our time is wasted as there is no meaning in it. Telling ourselves there is a purpose is just a way to get through life easier, is it not? If there is a meaning, it would be universal/pre-determined for groups of people.

    Purpose of life?

In an absolute, universal context, you're correct.

Generally you can define your own relative meaning as whatever makes you happy in life, or whatever you personally feel is merit.

... And then there are disillusioned fucks like me that just don't care any more.

    Purpose of life?

But if you do not care at all, why live at all?

    Purpose of life?

    Very good question.

Some things feel nice, seem somewhat fun or enjoyable, or have the potential to make me happy. All of that is a function of brain chemistry rather than any sort of greater consciousness, so it doesn't actually lie in conflict with what I just said.

    Purpose of life?

I think we find out our purpose when we die.

But I think that you are implying that you care about feeling nice.

    Purpose of life?

Some level of emotional attachment exists, but it is not enough to define an overall purpose for my existence. I just don't care why I'm here, so I'll either die when my lifestyle catches up with me, or when I decide I'm done.

    Purpose of life?

It's like I'm talking to myself reading this. Crazy.

Literally my same view on things.

I want to believe there is some purpose, or something after, I just don't.

    Purpose of life?

to say that something needs to be created is not to say that it doesnt exist.

for example, computers need to be created. does that mean they dont exist?

humans are created. do humans not exist?

following your line of thought, we create computers to make our lives easier. does that mean they dont exist?

why? why does meaning need to be predetermined?

    Purpose of life?

This doesn't apply to everything. Just thoughts such as this. We created this thought simply to help us get through life. If we created it as such, how can it exist, as it didn't exist previously?

Meaning needs to be predetermined to exist as, if we create it when we're 26, there was no meaning previously. Unless you choose to claim "we never realised it until that point". At that point I simply won't reply to your replies.

    Purpose of life?

The purpose of life is to attain achivements that are everlasting. Life doesn't have a meaning until we give it one.

    Purpose of life?

Define everlasting. Everything that begins must end, and all that is known will at one point in time be forgotten.

    Purpose of life?

I'll help you google the definition of everlasting.

    - Lasting forever OR for a very long time.

There is no need to be overcritical about everything.

    Purpose of life?

Is this real life? How do you know this is life? This can be a fantasy.

    Purpose of life?

Fantasy is a mental image. This image would have to be thought of by someone, therefor making life reality.

    Purpose of life?

I was actually genuinely curious about your definition. I'm a naturally critical thinker, so idiomatic expressions like "everlasting" in this concept are strange to me. And I'm bored. The two together do wonders.

    I love Queen, too!

    Purpose of life?

Everlasting in a general sense is usually forever, though. Hence the confusion, I assume.
