Phasing out SVU discussion

I honestly like theses ideas the best.

 

I actually like this idea.

Giving more than 5-10$ donation credit would be absurd, a special minirank would be better.

 

@Sythe I think at this point in the discussion, we've thrown up a lot of suggestions, so I will set a motion for us to have a poll and take a final vote on what we want to do.

Disable Internet phone numbers (Skype, Gizmo, VOIP).
Disable prepaid SIM card phone numbers.
Problem solved.
Works fine with PlayerAuctions, why shouldn't it work with Sythe?

 

Pay 15$ to get 5$ emblem. Seems like a great idea. Besides noone is going to go through all this hassle to get pretty much worthless label. SVU only shows that you are someway connected to Sythe and you are bit more trusted than a regular user due the fact that you are willing to donate forum some of your money. If you remove SVU, you need to come up with good solution. I am sure, there will be some people around begging back their sandwich money.

 

I think that a minirank that's not tradable and a 5$ credit would suffice. This keeps the minirank market stable and gives the 5$ back to the User for getting SVU.

 

It's already been decided, SVU is now removed and prizeboxes have been handed out

 

I've only gotten 1, not 2. Hopefully @Matthew handles the kinks. Giving 2 prizeboxes to a ton of people takes time.

 

Oh my bad I didnt realize this because I only read about half the posts sorry. I'm glad though that they got the prizeboxes as that was a coolidea too

i only got one also, was we meant to get two? I can't see where it was confirmed what the alternative to SVU even was but got 1 prizebox

Got 1 prizebox so far. Can someone tell me who is suppose to get 2 prizeboxes?

I'm kind of disappointed I paid for my SVU to add a layer of trust to my account. I understand the reasoning behind removing it because of scams going on, but giving me a "prizebox" doesn't really make up for the 5 dollars I paid. I literally had just gotten it too so I didn't even get any use out of it.... bought on June 19th and in less than 1 month (July 15th) you come up with a post removing it.....I wish I had know that in less than 1 month of buying something it would just get taken away. Maybe for those who got a good one year use out of it and then got a "prizebox" thing to make up for it doesn't mind that much but I had just paid for something and in 1 month it gets removed....
