SVU is great. Anyone with Paypal can put up a false name and use a prepaid debit card and put up a donation on Sythe for $5, $25, $50 and get a SVU symbol. Using the info won't be any good if the scammer uses a false name.
I think this should be optional for Sythe users who want their buyers feel safe but this can be mandatory as well.
I'm stealing this idea from a forum called robotzindisguise.com forums, another black market for RS gold. Lets call it SVU 2.0.
Anyone with SVU can freely send this information below to a Moderator or Admin for a SVU 2.0.
1) a clear photograph of a universally recognised form of ID. We only accept Passport or Driver's License/Permit.
2) a second photo, with you holding up a piece of paper with your RiD username written on it. This is simply so we are able to visually confirm you are the same person shown in the passport/driver's license.
*Edit out any details you are not comfortable with (such as date of birth), all we need is your full name.
You might be thinking, oh this is too much to go through but its far safer for people who want to provide real life services involving themselves able to get you an item at a lowest price. (Example: Purchases made at Best Buy, Target, Amazon, etc for 20-30% off the original retail price), selling electronic gift cards, physical gift cards, real life goods, phones (can be stolen).
These type of people would only accept rsgp or moneypak/btc which makes it hard for buyers to dispute a claim for their money back.
If this suggestion was supported, I would be more safe dealing with members on sythe who only have "SVU 2.0". Seriously.
