Well it was a bad idea to get into it in the first place, but you have to end a war and not abandon it. Iraq will be a hostile area for atleast 5 years. America cannot abandon it because a terrorist group might take over after they have left.

The Iraq war isn't just in Iraq, the Iraq war is a generalization of everything we're doing over there, including but not limited to Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, and other special ops. that go on in the region. This war is no longer directly justifiable and I think a lot of people, pro-Enduring Freedom or not, will agree. However, like the other fellow said, look behind the news lines, the news is virtually the 4th branch of the Government and is controlled by them strictly. Let's look back to 9/11. That day was not necessarily the spark of the Iraqi war, but it was a good example of the hatred these people have, not just for us, but all the countries. The radicals if the Islamic religion are some of the worst radicals on the planet. They have no care for human nature or life, they don't care about anyone but themselves and obviously they don't care for themselves either. By being over there, a foot is being put down. If no one does anything about this then it will worsen, this is the Hitler of today so to speak. Or the Russia of the Cold War. Or the Bandits of the Old West. Regardless of analogies, this needs to be fought out of our own soil. These people want every single American on the planet dead, not just every person in general, every American. This is the problem of our time and some people have yet to grasp this but when it worsens they will.

Actually not 75% want us gone. Whenever these soldiers roll through towns all the people shout "America! America! Good! Good!" etc.. The soldiers give them tons of food, water, and sometimes their own MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat). The soldiers also patrol the streets at night from looters helping the neighborhood watch. The young girls/boys and older woman/men want us to stay there. Only most of the men between 20-35 don't like the soldiers there (Thats purely because they are fedayeen).

As for the person who posted the site above with the statistics. The entire site is EXTREMELY BIASED towards anyone who agrees the war is right, therefore, although those numbers might be correct, not to say they are. They are most likely also taken out of context.

During my 3 month "vacation" in iraq, never did I see an soldier acting nicely.
This dosent mean that there arent any, cuz I know there are many of those good soldiers, but there are way more of the bad soldiers.
How can you say that the soldiers are giving food to the people and drink.?
Have you got any idea of how dirty the water is? And the people cannot even boil it! They dont have the money to boil it, since america bombed the oil factories at the start of the war, resulting in 95% of the iraqis being poor.
Some of the soldiers might be giving their own food to the people once in a while, but so what? They got plenty more where they come from.
They are the ones who are suposed to help the people, so giving the people their food should be something every soldier should be doing before they eat them selfs.
