Pirating? Wrong or Right?

i think ther shuld be a limit to pirating...its not fair to people who made those songs...and the person isnt gettin in return for it

Pirating is completely wrong. The money not only goes to the people who make the songs, but it goes to all the little people who help manufacture and distribute the music.

 

I am somewhat for pirating, and I usually only pirate music. Not ALL bands make a lot of money. Sure bands that are part of a big record label do, but what about the Independent music? I would much rather buy an Independent Band's CD, than pirate it.

They DO need the money to be supported, and to make more music; so why not help support them?

 

Yep I agree with Billy, not all bands make a lot of money, but if you're in an independet band why would you want to pirate beats if you want to make it big.

 

AGREE!!! I love to pirate things, and some songs/music videos/programs are waaaaaaay to overpriced

 

They can manufacture and distribute all the music on CD's they want - stealing them would be wrong, as they are property. Is the concept of the music property?

I have better things I could be doing with my money.

"how can you prove someone owns a concept?" well shredder if it exists before you thought of it than technically you owe a debt to someone. ignorance. but i dont think pirating is wrong to a certain extent. downloading video games/50+ dollar programs is kinda obnoxious and selfish IMO. I have downloaded a few songs here and there, no limewire or heavy usage. honestly i only do it for the convenience.

 

Music, or any other form of Writing or Software is not a concept. A Concept is an idea that brings diverse elements into relationship.

Physical property or not, the items created(Music, Software) obviously took work and peoples valuable time and if there product is decent, then they should very well deserve a profit. I'm pretty sure if you coded Photoshop CS3, your wouldn't give it away for free because its only a "concept" or a Non-Physical item.

 

Fuck yeah, it's okay. They've been copy pasting their code for the past 10 years, selling it at full price each year. Piece of shit.

You didn't steal it. You borrowed it, copied it, and then put it back, did no damage, and I didn't even know

 

they made bad music, and one good song. it's their fault for making it not worth buying the cd, but i will buy a cd that is AWESOME.

 

thinking about it, people are all mislead, WHY NOT JOIN THE WORLD !
