Ok my friend, you seem to have completely ignored the point I was trying to make. Please do not bring out trivial matters by bringing this up, as I am not looking for a grammar lesson. I am looking to bring a point that people should bring up a constant effort to try to make their grammar proper, whether or not they have perfect grammar, in the end does not matter. What does matter is that they tried, and if they put an extra punctuation or letter here, its OK, this isn't English class at High School, but it still isn't first grade.

    Agreed,
I Hate Kids Who Are Too Lazy To Spell Out "You",
Or Kids Who Spell "Shit" As "Shyt"
    I Mean Really,
It Takes Me Longer To Type In Horrible Spelling Than It Does To Type In Correct Spelling.

Yes, the same happened to me when I used to play Runescape, and I talked in "1337/leet" and I'd type class papers and I'd see, nty and yw and lol popping up in my typing and I realized it has to stop now, because it could become a solid habbit, and I don't want to be doing that in high school.

I think we need to stop looking at the way Himself types, but what is trying to say with it. My English is also not perfect and has flaws, but I try to use proper grammar and punctuation every time speak, write or type English. Same thing with Dutch.

In my opinion, you should type the way you want, if somebody fails to use proper grammar or is just too stupid, let him use his little interwebz-speak to make himself look cool.

Well, sir, I find it quite ignorantly condescending of you to accuse others of bad grammar when yours is not quite up to par. To be completely honest, I would rather talk to someone who uses bad grammar than someone who fails to use correct grammar.

If you can't swim, do you jump in the water? If you can't ride a bike, do you ride the bike? Unless you are a complete and utter moron, the answer is quite clear.

Wow, nice post Viper, good point, but yes, a small population should not be used to judge the rest. Also, Shakaka, you still fail too see that I am not saying use perfect grammar, but I am saying that make an effort to use propper grammar is better. If you can't ride the bike, do you get on it and learn? Yes, you do. If you can't swim, do you get in the water and learn to swim? Yes, you do. If you do not have good grammar, do you start trying to? Yes, you do. Going back to your example still, just because you cannot ride the bike perfect, and you mess up when you try to make a sharp turn, you still keep trying till you make the turn. Same with grammar, thought you don't always put commas in the correct spot, you still keep trying till you get them there.

Also, Viper, how do we donate exactly? We donating to you or something?

I don`t really care for other`s grammar, as long as I spell right and punctuate correctly. I am fine, but when I make minor mistales. I don`t really worry much.

Then let me rephrase, because obviously my examples were too blunt. If you can't swim, do you critique people on their swimming methods? If you ride a tricycle, do you tell others how to ride a real bike?

I'm not saying that you don't have okay grammar. I am saying you shouldn't bring it up and make a big deal out of it if you, yourself, aren't that good at it.

It can be annoying. I don't like it when people say "lol dudw, u r ghay." and they are actually typing normally.

I want people on the internet to use better speech when online and off, but not at the expense of reason. I won't yell at you for saying an occasional, "Lol." or the like. I will get frustrated, though if I have to translate every sentence from, "omg did u c that," because it is quite simple to say, "Oh my God, did you see that?" Relatively taking the same amount of time to type, if you have any skill with a keyboard.

Yep, I think the same thing as vision. If you can type good, go ahead and do it. A person who can swim, can critique those who can't. I can use OK grammar, so I can criqtique those who don't. An English teacher (lets say maybe Michael Phelps for the swimming example), can critique me.

i find it annoying to talk leik dat.
I just try to type as good as I am able to.

I still remember when I was around 12 and I picked up English from the television and I tried to go to forums as such. I could understand what people were saying but I think every sentence of mine had at least five grammatical errors or so. When I think of that I really feel ashamed I did that.

It's just a little bit of decency to type like a normal person. I mean you are having some sort of conversation of a kind. Just let it be understandable.
Not like the other person has to read your sentence twice before he or she understands what you are trying to make clear.

I only read the first post.

All in all, there's people out there who can't spell for shit because of "text language", which leads to dyslexia (<-- not quite sure on how to spell that word).

I don't mind small/minor mistakes, but "ppl ho typ lyk tis" gets on my nerves.

Leet speak is not cool never was, never will be.
