There's been exploits popping up in Hotmail and Skype for years.

I remember their was a recovery issue last year. After they were contacted, they issued a statement and fixed the issue. If anyone has the step-by-step process, contact Skype...

That would be super clutch.
However, the only people that have a 'step-by-step process' are the one's abusing it, and I highly doubt are going to do that.

I've tried with many agents. They just advise me to have the hacked victims contact them. Or give me automated-like responses about keeping my account secure.

Just an FYI to all, if you purchase skype credits, they'll need your payment details to recover your account rather than the standard email, creation date etc.

Yes (i think), because they require that information to recover your account.

That didn't work either...

used an email address that nobody else knew, and still got hacked.

EVERYTHING besides that is public, yet hackers are still managing to recover my skype account since it's so fucking easy to recover. Anyone figured it out yet?

Is there anyone who got hacked recently and have purchased Skype credit b4 that can verify this?

 

Whats to stop people scamming if the buyer/seller doesnt ask for a PM? and they just claim they're hacked and get away scot free?

My skype currently got hacked as well, I always stay on top of all that changing passwords, emails etc and first time getting hacked. Microsoft really needs to do something about this.

Yeah your skype shot me a few messages asking to buy gold lol. Soon as I said "Oh damn I assume your skype got hacked as well" he just left me alone lmao.

Consider the alternative. Due to the mass skype hacking this is necessary.

If someone were to type out a message for skype/microsoft suggesting they tighten up their security and got as many sythe members to email it to them, I bet we'd get their attention and pressure them to fix the problem.
