No. Sellers must take responsibility or get out of the game. If Skype isn't secure, don't use it. Simple as that.

I agree. Use Sythe PM to trade if you cannot keep your customers safe by using an external messenger. The customers are after all almost always the victims, rarely able to be compensated. I dislike how Sythe's protection system heavily favors sellers. Id be satisfied if all trades are done by PM. Skype is where you negotiate, and once a trade is about to start, you go straight to PM. Mention their RSN or paypal email as an example.

If we take lean's case, although the victim seemed shady (Money spread over several paypals), the screenshot of the PM showed Lean didn't mention anywhere in his profile that his Skype was hacked. Maybe it was in his signature. After the report, his UT mentions his Skype is hacked. I guess adding to this suggestion, if someone's Skype is hacked, don't just post an announcement, change their UT and/or add it to their signature.

We have seen daily skype hackings,email hackings,exchange websites delaing with billion usd hacked,gouverment websites hacked... Not sure which things are secured in your option?
Edit: Not in last place,LAPD and many other police department was hacked also.

You fuckers need to find a new IM that is secure, and not the trashy piece of shit known as Skype.

 

Now that two factor exists this is viable

 

^^^ I just 2 factor'd my account and it's extremely easy. Also, PM'ing in Sythe is easier for trades for the purpose of reporting scammers and warding off people trying to impersonate through Skype. It's just an overall safer experience.

EDIT: Also 2-factor'd a lot of my other accounts including for my bank and other website logins. It's a great feature.

 

Pro Solution: Create a chat system similiar to skype, but much more basic for only members who login from this "2 Auth" thing. Although I don't know what it is, from the sounds of it, it makes your account safe. So all 2 auth verified members could chat, private chat and trades could be conducted there... meaning no shit skype, and you'll know it's the right person. No imposter, none of that shit will be going down.

 

Question, not really relating quite to this, but didn't want to make a thread. Say if I wanted my skype to be : Live:RoarySythe , would I have to create a email: [email protected] ?
