"Privilege not a right" is the motto that probably lead to the downfall of sythe.

"you being on this site is a privilege, not a right"-whether ur a member or DnT that's how the policy is viewed.

That's probably the worst thing U could of ever said, I literally cannot tell you how irritated this quote made me, and how many times I've seen users request proof and get told "us telling u the proof is a privilege not a right", or "you have the privilege to be here, we can remove u any time because that's our right".

If it was "you have a RIGHT to be here, its our privilege to provide u this site", I think sythe would of been a very different sythe indeed.

Not really super on topic but its worth saying, I literally hate that quote more than almost anything I've seen on sythe, that exact quote and the logic behind it is probably why DnT exists in the first place, and why theres so many bans and why sythe is where it is.

Being granted access through DNT is a privilege, not a right.

^ This is the exact mentality that killed sythes community.

    Just my opinion.

Why are scammers/DNTs allowed to give their opinions on the suggestion forum? I don't think anything they say should be taken into account. They ruined the community and hence should not be giving their opinions on how to better it. Fuck you guys.

OT: I support this, but I support undoing this shit show over that.

Awesome choice on a CDT leader guys, at least gracious had the decency and bleu at least said applicants would be considered equally.

I'm SURE THE CDT is definitely going to be community oriented with the leader of it telling 55-70 of the community members fuck us.

    Awesome.

Really looks like were making great headway in sythes community so far.

I'll have you know that a large number (idk if it was a majority since not everyone voiced their opinion) of CDT members did not support the return of scammers to the site. This is a suggestion thread so I'm not going to spam it arguing with a DNT, you're welcome to take this to my PMs or Skype.

    Power to OP.

His ban wasn't for scamming and DNT users can't use the PM system. Maybe instead of trying to cause drama and anger people someone who is the "CDT Leader" should be more productive with their posts within the suggestion section in regards to the community. That's just my opinion though.

I don't agree with any of this anyway.

Pardon to be able to come back for DNT? Maybe.

Just allowing cancer back to the site who are prob finna just do it again? ehh.

I suppose it's worth a shot, but I can't see a way to reasonably force them to pay the money back. These are people who accepted they were perm banned and either moved on or vaded.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

This is basically my stance summed up better, we have to try to change the character of the DnT people returning, we have to MAKE THEM WANT TO STAY IN THE COMMUNITY, forcing repayments is just going to kill that attempt, most of the people DnT consists of are exactly like blade said, people who don't care, moved on, or evaded.

I guess he evidently can get stances across better than I :p.

But yeah honestly if we force repayments I'm pretty sure most of the DnT would just say fuck it and leave lol, and were back to square 1, I don't know that for fact @ bleu -.-, but I'm ASSUMING SO.

    see:
I love the community and am only responding this way because of how I don't want to see it ruined. This suggestion is better than the status quo so I support it.

Also it should be noted that I am mainly against scammers returning to the site. I could go either way on drama bans and the such. That's why I didn't specifically refer to anyone in my first post, but some people think that the world revolves around them and everything is in reference to them. But hey, if the shoe fits?

The shoe always fits when your surrounded by people who are nothing but toxic towards you, you start to think toxically yourself and start believing what people say is true, its a mental thing, I know I'm not the one ur referring to in this post but I thought I'd say that :p, guess that explains why so much of the community is toxic or gone though lol.

A Toxic environment leads to toxic mentality which leads to toxic actions.

    You're talking? again?
The same person that fucked over his first employer, tried to make an exact copy of his website alongside with the domain and poached his customers?
The same person who threatened to DDoS people offline on skype for disagreeing with you?
The same person who delays weeks paying his workers?
The same person who "rented" his alleged "100k$ goldshop site" for 150$ to bypass sythe rules/ban and still advertise your shit gold shop?

I'm getting fed up of seeing your autistic spam posts on this forum.
It's cancerous kids like YOU who make this site shittier day by day and the fact that sythe unbanned you to freely shitpost after your 14th or 15th ban just wants to make me not take anything this site sputes out serious anymore.

People have been saying "this site's dying!" Since i fucking joined in 2012 and after 4 years it's still running and pretty fucking active.

    edit;

regards to the topic? re-ban everyone who owes money and make use of the pardoning system. Pretty sure last time i saw grave's thread it was only for drama bans and not owe-shitload-of-money-bans.

It's a good idea and implementation would be smart to make DNT not a free ride which I agree, it shouldn't be.

I'd really also like for Staff to make a DNT repayment mega-thread where the community can be kept up to date on repayment progress. I was planning to do this through the pardon section but if we had a mega-thread for it it would be a lot easier for staff to manage and update.

As far as any other debts I owe, 10$ to Colemdem, tried to add him on Skype and email but no answer yet.

Caught TTB briefly on Skype yesterday but he was busy so haven't been able to formulate a concrete repayment plan and I haven't been updated as to whether or not he ever got his limit from Paypal lifted. As far as any interest and such TTB has historically not charged interest on his loans but again I'm not against paying interest on the loan and should as it matured 6 months ago.

Anyway, good idea. I support it. Public pressure is pretty good incentive as it is but a repayment plan won't kill anyone. It will give me the discipline of repayment that was sorely absent before this all happened.

The mega-thread showing repayment progress would be a must though on top of this.

Ok in the future please try and actually contribute to the discussion instead of posting meaningless shit because you don't like something I say, especially when your meaningless shit has nothing to do with my suggestion. Thanks.
I also support undoing everything over trying to better it but in the event that doesn't happen i'd like some sort of fallback.
Being the CDT leader and wanting to bring the community together doesn't mean he's not entitled to his own opinion. If your opinion is that someone else shouldn't be able to give theirs, then kindly fuck off because your opinion is worthless anyways, thanks.
Trust me when I tell you that I also disagree with allowing them back. As it becomes less likely that this is just some massive troll by Richard and he's just going to reban them all, i'd at least like to see something that requires them to start making good out of the bad they've caused. Whether or not they decide to move on again rather than paying back a meager sum towards the money they unjustly ran off with is completely up to them. Nobody's going to stop them and by no means should we be wanting them to stick around if they don't want to fix the mess they caused in the first place. As i've said before there's plenty of people who i'm sure would love the opportunity they've been granted and they know where the door is.
As i've said multiple times if they want to say "fuck it" and leave, they know where the door is. Do you think out of the thousands of banned users who would love to be given this opportunity most of them would complain about paying back a small percentage of their debt per month or so for an unban? If someone wants to take their DNT status and hence their ticket back into the community for granted, someone else can have it. It's not going to hurt anyone but the selfish cunt who scammed in the first place?
Good to see someone who isn't taking their DNT status for granted and is working towards righting their wrongs

Didn't read all comments but I support this as I highly doubt the DNT users will repay the victims if they have access to sections they've been using the most in the past anyways. The most unbanned DNT users had quite some postcount which was mainly because of the spam forum. Atleast quite a few of them. I do believe some kind of required payments a month should help to atleast put a bit more pressure on the case, because else they might be just wait it out - they're probably done with the market anyways and are perfectly fine with spam-forum only access.

Anyway, no support. The entire purpose of the Market BAN is that we understand that they scammed and they shouldn't be allowed to trade. How exactly would you force them to pay back? They were already banned. Are we going to reban them? Oh, okay, the entire purpose of unbanning them is gone. No real punishment? How about all the time they remained banned? How about not being able to use the market, a prominent feature of the site?

If you think being banned and then suddenly unbanned but getting to keep all the money you ran off with is a punishment then you legitimately have no clue what you're talking about. As has been stated time and again most of these users don't two shits about the market and DNT gives them everything they wanted without having to pay a cent back. And yeah, if they don't pay they can be rebanned as i'm sure plenty of people would be gracious for an opportunity that's being taken for granted by some selfish cunt who doesn't want to pay for the mistakes he's made. The point of unbanning them is to see if they're worth allowing back into the community in a full capacity and if someone doesn't want to start paying back the person/people they stole from what exactly makes them deserving of being here at all? There's 10 people willing to take their spot i'm sure. DNT simply isn't a punishment for the vast majority of the current DNT users and most of them aren't even trying to pay back a cent, if you think otherwise i'm not sure where you're getting your facts from.
