Ex-Staff 2FA Requirement

I am in full support of this and always have been....there are a total of 91 ex-staff counting banned and unbanned

 

I'll put up a staff vote

 

Also replying in form of people not being able to have 2FA for whatever reason. I believe for some other forums there is a list of words that you would be required to enter upon login for the first time to new devices.

 

Why force them to get 2fa if blade is just going to ban them.




Anyways I understand where this is coming from due to db leaks but it shouldn't be a requirement in my opinion.

It's pretty clear Sythe has a security flaw that needs to be addressed ASAP.

Wouldn't they know if there was a flaw? If there is - I guess Sythe would have to cover the scammed funds.

Other site databases have been leaked. Also half the accounts getting recovered are prob via email.

 

Anyone got a list of what databases have been leaked? My password used on Sythe was only used for Sythe.

My account had a custom email, made on my own domain, hidden from everyone, made only for this account.

How long does a staff vote take on this?

 

The poll passed, we've just got to iron out the details which has been neglected due to various other issues discussions cropping up. I'll get the ball rolling again.

 

Well seeing as whoever has been dicking about with the ex-mod accounts has probably seen this, the sooner it gets done the better.

 

Or you could just put inactive ex-staff members on temporary leave (temporarily suspend them, that is).

 

Is this still going to happen or what? The account hackings seem to have stopped now, but this will remain a problem till this security measure is put in place.

 

Although I can think of a few reasons to not support this, I can also think of a few to support this, support.
