Just for reference, how come?

How is calling a scammer who scammed (in this case piegp, in instances in the past it was bus with his DNT or forum bans) in the spam forum anything but factual when the event clearly happened in the past? I don't understand how users keep getting information posted about them wiped from the spam forum even though this rule exists and people are simply mentioning what happened regardless of spam forum involvement.

 

I thought the thread compiled by wonderland where he linked all of divine's scams was fine due to those reports being factual reports. As divine has had many believe a lot of those were "overturned" or "thrown out" and they were still ok to be linked within that thread. I'm not sure where the lines are drawn, is it one thing for friend another for foe?

 

Yes, if it's beneficial to said mod it will be taken in a favored way. It's been seen time and time again.

The issue is more so that you did this recently in opposition of a ruling from over a year ago and a thread locked 2 years ago. Solely to hide EVIDENCE that said individual is a scammer.

 

The thread was made when they were clearly active in the spam forum though. And when someone has a legit scam report on them, you are allowed to use the word scam/ scammer dumbass. Just admit you were wrong, fix your mistakes and quit being a bitch.

Honestly even things that aren't related to scam reports get wiped off the site. I remember Divine getting staff to delete the threads in the spam forum that were pointing out all of the mispellings in the banner he bought at the top of Sythe prior to him using the spam forum again (This was why admires made this thread Reform the "Not Participating in Spam Forum Rule").

 

I don't want this to get broken up into a right/wrong issue just about her action being wrong in one instance.

She used her power to adjust something rightfully in place for a friend so they could evade google searches and sythe searches, because it was resulting in the scam reports showing for clientele. That is the user's fault for scamming, and you aided in them evading those factual reports.

 

@Chloe can you just stop doing favors for gold sites here on Sythe? It seems that every time you do there is controversy and no offense, but it only happens (and you only vigorously defend) sites / members you have friendships or connections with.

It really takes no time at all to refer the complaint to another staff member, or richard, one that you do not have any connection with so as to avoid any conflict of interest.

From a PR perspective, it reflects badly on this site to have its staff continually being accused of corruption for helping out their friends. If your friend has a gripe with something, please refer it to another staff member. It is LESS work for you, and would benefit a lot in terms of helping out both the PR and CDT teams.

If they were active at the time, that ruling shouldn't apply. It should only apply for newly created threads/posts.

He never had to pardon, just repay. All the accounts he recovered had GP on them also, which couldn't be proven. But we all know he took it. Not sure how someone like him can scam multiple users, leave for so long (without repaying) and not have to pardon.

Sythe staff have treated him differently than any other member since the beginning. and I find it appalling that staff would go out of their way to help such a scumbag.

If he was an ACTIVE community member etc, and wasn't just here for business I feel like just a dispute would have been acceptable(not normal). But he's here just for business and he failed to complete legit business. He's a scammer lol

Staff shouldn't be trying to hide this at all. Every customer/potential customer should be aware of his past.

 

Discord has spam forum rules. It’s not the spam forum there’s a difference holy shit.

 

one thing I hate the most its corruption and if all this happened during the same time stamp I hope @Chloe re think what she did and fix/put everything like it was before. otherwise enjoy been attacked by the community :facep:

If this is done for one user then it's gonna have to be done for all of them (or not at all). Friends or not, staff can't make exceptions for removing content related to scamming / malicious activity from the SF if it goes out of the window for "not participating in the spam forum".

Also if particpating in the spam section on the Discord counts as "participating in the Spam Forum" then this needs to be made clear in the pinned thread here as it isn't obvious and I doubt members who intend to not participate in the spam forum wish to accidentally cancel it out by posting in the spam section on Discord - Spam Forum Rules

 

Didnt read all of this thread, but can a mod confirm, if a user has been proven guilty of scamming etc, and during the time of said scam, any scam/spam thread being made stating 'xxx is a scammer' is valid, and as such should not retroactively be amended in the future, even if said user repays debts etc, as at that time, and in that period, the scam was proven to be true.

What about threads created in the present stating 'xxx user scammed in 2016' for example?

 

For clarification: You cannot call anyone a scammer in the spam forum regardless of their past/present/future.
When people pay back their debts and/or pardon they are clearing their name and starting fresh, that is how it has always been seen. (This is also the reason we do not pardon people with a TWC - It is either DNT or unbanned.)
Their reports of when they scammed will still be there, nothing is hidden. You just can't go around calling someone a scammer in the spam forum.

Pie Overlord Owner of PieGP.com is a Scanner (Richard stating not even tags are allowed)
replace scammer with scanner (the word scanner is allowed; not scammer.)

Another thing I'd like to clear up which multiple people seem to be making a point is, I never touched any of the legitimate scam reports made years about Pie_Overlord/PieGP - Any scam reports that were legitimate are still there and you're welcome to view the first few posts where Gun links them. I am not hiding their past, it is still out there for everyone to see.
I only went and closed the thread when Gun couldn't follow rules and constantly kept adding tags of "x is a scammer"
If anyone else has an issue where you're being called a scammer in tags/titles/posts and it's showing up on google I'm more than happy to delete them.

Since this is resolved, and Gun is now banned for once again not following the rules, I'll be closing this.
