Bro are you kidding me? They got Victor Oladipo and some Sabonis dude when they could've gotten 2 first round draft picks, and a player from Boston.... smh....

The remaining FA are looking bleak for the Cavs. I'm not sure who else they can go after unless I'm blanking.

 

I'm not disappointed in the 3/100 for Lowry. Way it stands, we get 3 more years of Lowry/Derozan/Ibaka for shits and giggles, then after that we can blow it up and start agian. A 4 or 5 year deal would have been killer, now all these guys hit FA in the same time.

I actually loved that move, even though he is overpaid a little bit (but isn't everyone nowadays to be honest). JJ Redick is one of the best catch and shoot players, and Ben Simmons, or Markelle Fultz can easily kick it out to him when they drive in the lane where they can cause havoc regardless. Great move, and I expect the 76ers to be a legitimate threat this year in the east because lets face it the only team that we can guaranteed say is better then them as of now is Cleveland, Boston, Washington, and maybe Toronto.

 

I know it's just Summer League too, but Tatum looks really good so far

 

Stupid deal in my opinion. Kyle Lowry should've went to the Spurs because they needed a legitimate starting point guard to take some of the load off of Kawhi Leonard / Lamarcus Aldridge. This resign is just a waste for Toronto because they're not going anywhere anytime soon, especially with LeBron still in the east, and Boston/Washington on the rise.

Yeah definitely, but we have like 4 small forwards lol.... in all honesty I love Jae Crowders playstyle, and how he does tons of dirty work for the team, but if we want Jaylen Brown, and Tatum to develop in Boston, then he needs to be traded.

 

Crowder is gonna get dropped.

As far as Gasol, that would be crazy. They've got the assets to do it.

 

Yeah Gasol could happen, especially with Zach Randolph gone, and Tony Allen possibly parting ways. Definitely would be an amazing addition to solidify our frontcourt.

Fultz had a real nice spin step back jumper. Looked very smooth. Should be exciting.

 

Boy we better than the Cavs!!!! But on a serious note if we get Marc Gasol I think we'd have a very competitive series with the Cavs. I'm a huge Celtics, but with the current lineup we have I think we could take the Cavs to 6 or 7, but with Marc Gasol I could see us winning in 7.

According to Bleacher Report, Rudy Gay has signed a 2 year, $17 million dollar deal. Great pickup for the Spurs to be honest, and all they really need now is a good starting point guard since Tony Parker has been dealt with lots of injuries as of lately. Hopefully Dejounte Murray can develop into that player for them.

 

I mean Lowry clearly wanted to get paid as he's been underpaid for the last couple of years, and the Spurs don't have the cap to pay him. Toronto wasn't gonna be able to facilitate the rebuilding process any earlier with Derozan and Ibaka locked up anyways. This gives us solid 3-5 seed ball for the next couple of years, and like even just in terms of the culture shift...there once was a time where we'd have to beg with huge sheets to get even a decent player. Now, 2 all-NBA players just signed with Toronto, and other star players are ranking us on their top basketball cities..as a Raptors fan, it's more than just the contract. But I see where you are coming from.


Has been interesting to watch Lonzo's summer league play so far. First game when he was jacking up shots he was garbage, and tonight he drops a triple double lol. Looks to be the exact opposite style of PG of Irving imo

 

King's are going old school with their play, hopefully they can mentor the newcomers and become a winning-record franchise within the next 10 years.

Looks like although it's just the summer league, Lonzo Ball picked up his first triple-double against the C's.
