The Golden State Warriors are the 2018 NBA champions, with Kevin Durant winning finals MVP for the second straight year in a row. With a lot of potential free agents this year, and a pretty good draft, this will be an interesting off-season. Share your thoughts here on the new season. We will see which team plays their cards right. Notably, the Lakers have seemed to up their chances with the latest claims of LeBron James, Rajon Rondo, and Carmelo Anthony.

Anyone excited for it? With LeBron going west, it should shake up the hierarchy of the league, mostly leaving the east wide open. I haven't been this excited in a long time. The story narratives will be fun also. Who do you think is making it out of both conferences? I have Boston east and Warriors west.

I believe the west is going to continue being the powerhouse for quite some time. Every team got better there for the most part. Honestly 11-12 teams in the west are easily playoff teams (only questionable teams are Mavericks/Suns/Grizzlies/Kings in my opinion, although they do got potential with their young core) as where in the east their are only about 5 teams you know that are playoff potential, which are Toronto, Boston, Philly, Milwaukee, Washington, and Indiana.

My pick to come out of the west - Warriors
My pick to come out of the east - Celtics

Sleeper teams to watch out for:
    West - Nuggets, Clippers, Mavericks
    East - Bulls, Wizards, Pacers

Some other things I'm curious about:
    - How will the Suns do this year? They let go of Brandon Knight/Marquis for Ryan Anderson, and Tyler Ulis signed to Golden State, so they have no point guards (or notable ones) as far as I know.
    - Where will Jimmy Butler go? Clearly KAT isn't going anywhere as he got a 5 year extension recently. It's also surprising because all his former teammates/his former coach is there, but he wants out completely.
    - How do you think Melo will fit in Houston?

    1. Even with Ayton and Booker, I still see the suns out of the playoff picture. There will definitely be improvement though.

    2. Reports say he wants to be traded to miami which makes no sense in my mind unless he plans to be centerpiece after Wade retires.

    3. I do think melo will fit better in Houston than he did in OKC. It really depends on the role be plays.

Warrior picked up another monster this year so let’s see how this goes, boston has a young skillful team, but what I’m looking forward to seeing is how Lebron will do in the Lakers (my city, LA).
Also what I find funny is that rondo is going to start over lonzo. Anyways this year shall be interesting and I’m looking forward to it

Lonzo hasn’t been active nearly all summer due to injury. I’m not surprised they aren’t starting him. Could change during the season though.

Yeah, i think this is good choice. Rondo is alot better than lonzo, i have no clue why people think it opposite.

As much as I believe LeBron to be the best player in the world by far there's just no chance this happens. Would be amazing to see, but you cant beat a team with an all-star starting line up (arguably all top 2-3 in their positions) with a team of one superstar and the rest vets/young players/solid role players. The Lakers got a good thing going for them, but the Warriors are just too far ahead from everyone in the league (Celtics are the next best without a doubt, but that's about it).

Rondo should start imo, and he most likely will.

Hopefully they pick up the pace for the rest of the season, and try to avoid confrontation as they didn't against the Rockets.

It's pointless trading Fultz so soon, give him more time to develop given that the 76ers won't be a championship threat for atleast another season or two.
