If Thompson showed up early like he did later on, we'd be talking about Game 7 right now, frustrating.

I agree with this. He's there for a reason, and just because he didn't show up as much as he should've for the finals doesn't mean that he played poorly all year. He did what he needed to do, and that was provide toughness, rebounding, screens, and heart to the team, so he will stay. Kevin Love is the only questionable piece that could be moved for Paul George, but the main thing they need to prioritize is adding more depth to their bench if they want any chance at beating the Warriors.

 

Sixers slowly but surely getting dope af. Eyes set on JJ Redick now too

 

Getting Markelle Fultz as well, so they have a bright future. Hopefully Ben Simmons turns out to be a star, and they can have a solid core for the future. They've been tanking for years, but didn't do that bad last season to be honest.

 

It doesn't matter how you perform all regular season if you can't perform in the most important part of the season: playoffs.

 

Yeah I completely agree with you, but he was very good for the majority of the playoffs, so we can't really put all the blame on him. What about Deron Williams, or JR Smith, Iman Shumpert, etc that wouldn't show up for some games as well. They need to add more depth to their bench because right now it's filled with old/inconsistent players, which LeBron/Kyrie have to play 40+ minutes every game. When LeBron went out, Golden State would constantly go on big runs, and everyone on Cleveland would look lost.

 

I've been very critical of Deron Williams and JR lmao. Iman is so irrelevant to me I don't even mention him.

 

Lmao true.... looking forward to seeing the moves Cleveland makes in the offseason though.

 

I think they just need to get rid of Deron to free up what little cap space they have left. Same w/ JR, he's a good shooter, too streaky.

 

JR is good to have coming off the bench like he was in New York when he won 6th man. I think they just need to add some decent athletic, young players, or maybe some mid-aged veterans that can take some of the load off of LeBron and Kyrie.

 

I hope Fultz pans out

 

Hopefully we could see a Celtics 76ers rivalry again. Two young teams, and both have tons of young players. Last year the 76ers did pretty damn good at competing. If Joel Embiid can stay healthy, and Ben Simmons/Markelle Fultz are the real deal, then watch out for Philly man.

 

Idk health is a big IF. These guys haven't proven they can even stay healthy for half a season yet. Hopefully no Oden like outcome.

 

Yeah man, tons of big IF's in the NBA if players would've been able to stay healthy such as Greg Oden, Brandon Roy, Grant hill, Blake Griffin, Shaun Livingston, Penny Hardaway, Chris Webber, Amare Stoudemite, etc.

 

Amar'e was actually all-nba talent for years before he broke down so I doubt he is in the same breathe as Oden
