I agree. Butler would complete the team.

I wouldn't say for years to come because LeBron is 33 at the end of this year. Sure they'll be at the top of the conference for a few more years max, but we all know without LeBron they're barely in the playoffs.

As far as I'm concerned, LeBron hasn't shown 1 sign of slowing down lol. As long as that's the case, I'll bet on the Cavs being Eastern champs every season. That might change if he shows some signs of slowing down.

Yea you're right, but 14 seasons, and consistently playing 40 minutes + a game puts a ton of ware on your body. Eventually he's going to retire, but you're right he's been doing his thing every year consistently.

Lakers traded Drussel & Mosgov to the Nets for Lopez & 27th pick.

What a shitty trade lmao. In my eyes, that shows Lakers front office is clueless and has no idea what they're doing. Who knows I guess.

Cavs aren't in the discussion for Paul George either. Looks like Butler is next option.

It seems shitty on paper, but if you think about it, it's actually pretty good. Assuming they will now draft Lonzo Ball, this would actually mesh pretty well. Lonzo is a playmaker, and Lopez is a dominant post scorer, so he can constantly facilitate to him, and Lopez would do his thing. Mozgov didn't really do anything significant there, and was a waste of cap space, so this isn't a bad trade at all for the direction they're headed in.

I think they're still in the discussion even though LA is his main destination. If he does go to Cleveland, then they'll definitely be able to run the floor with Golden State, and compete at a really high level (that is if they add more depth to their bench as well). If he goes to LA, then that will be very good for Lonzo considering he'll have PG24, and Brook Lopez to help mentor him, and that offense will be fast paced in my opinion.

Seems silly. I'm not a fan of Lopez. Not a franchise player. DRussel had potential but unknown.

Someone reported Cavs are completely out of discussion. Who knows!

Lots of players want to play for a LA team just because of the LA lifestyle. Even Lebron has a house in LA as far as I know.

Yeah he did, but with Brook Lopez, and possibly Paul George coming in I think Lonzo would be a better fit at the current state. I think DeAngelo is going to be a star in this league though, especially at Brooklyn where he will get heavy minutes right from the get go although the surrounding pieces he has aren't that good.

I don't blame them at all, but I'd rather play for a team like the Clippers if I wanted the LA lifestyle. I know they probably don't have the cap space to do that, but imagine how good they would be with a player like PG24. If he wants to spend his prime years on a rebuilding squad in LA, then he can do that because in the end it's ultimately his own decision. If he wants a ring, then the Clippers, or the Cavaliers are the only teams he should go to.

Lakers sent Russel to the Nets and got Lopez. They're either going to draft Ball or give up the draft pick for George.

Lakers at least get rid of that god awful Mozgov contract.

Lakers probably think they're good contenders to get Lebron someday but I don't see it happening

Yeah getting rid of that Mozgov contract helped with the cap space tremendously, so they could have a bigger chance at getting PG, or another free agent. I think that the Lakers think LeBron will come every year, but he's not going to lol. I honestly am not sure why people keep saying that, would make no sense.

Agreed, I don't think Lebron has the luxury of waiting for the Lakers to rebuild. Even if it was precipitated by adding Paul George to the mix, that roster still doesn't even look as good as the current Cavs that got whitewashed by Golden State.

The Cavaliers are completely fine. All they need to do is add more depth to their bench, and if they could acquire Jimmy Butler, or PG24, then that would obviously be a luxury, but they can easily compete with better role players.

Yup Lebron's 2 best options are to stick in Cleveland, get a few more pieces, or if he's really ballsy enough to go out West, the choice should be obvious..San Antonio.

No, he won't go anywhere. Even though he's almost 33, he's showed no signs of slowing down, but he is probably getting to the stage where he will retire in the next 5 years, or so. We don't want The Decision Pt 2 to happen lmao.

I really hope we get Jayson Tatum because we got Avery at SG, and Isaiah at PG, so I don't think we would need to get Josh Jackson, or DeAaron Fox. If they were going for Jonathan Isaac, then I know they would trade their pick again to try and get more assets.
