    Derozan 1-11

    No Damarre Carroll

The Raptors still win lool... What a joke Lebrons shot is not looking good at all this season and Irving doesn't play defense so unless he goes off he's useless.

Lowry clearly the best point guard in the East after tonight hands down.

Personal fouls and offensive fouls, only two shooting fouls. I mean the last 4 minutes of the game, the raptors got 3 shooting fouls near the end, two of which were questionable.

    http://www.nba.com/games/20160226/CLETOR/gameinfo.html?ls=iref:nba:scoreboard

Lebron was barely playing in the 4th, was stagnant most of the Q, he was gassed. Bad rotations, Kyrie not having the ball, and a bad close out by cavs led to raptors winning by 2 despite the cavs making 2x more 3 pointers than the raps, 12 to 6. Lebron shot 50% from the field.. But I guess that's none of my business.

Demar missed his shots because the attempts were horrible, withstanding of whether he had the flu or not.

Clearly you don't watch basketball. He's shooting 50% from the field this season, just 27% from 3. He only took 4 three point shot attempts making 2 of 4 for the game. He was just lethargic near the end due to not having a rest for about nearly 2 Q's straight

Damarre Carroll? He's a role player at best. Remember what Lebron did to him in the ECF last year? He's not a difference maker.

He's clearly the best PG in the east after one game? Are you drunk? If we're talking about the position, John Wall is the best pg in the east, if we're talking offense, Kyrie is better.

    2015-2016 NBA Discussion Thread

alright man I don't really want to get into a discussion about this specifically just because it'll turn into what you think were questionable calls and what I think were questionable calls, I can pull up some earlier in the game called against the raps that I thought were "questionable" but it'll just turn into opinions from there so whatever.

with your logic, lebron was still stagnant most of the Q, withstanding of whether he was gassed or not :^)

So they lost the game because of their mistakes, yes, you are correct. I'm sure the next time the raptors lose it will be because of bad rotations, poor defense, bad shot selection, etc. I don't know what the use is in cherry-picking stats out, like last time the Raptors played the Cavs, they lost "despite out-stealing them 9-6"...see how dumb that is? Yeah Lebron did decent. Shame about him being so anti-clutch with the late-game shots though, idk why they keep putting trust in him for these ones, I might've gone with Smith for the final one but I guess retrospect is 20/20

Okay, did you see the Delly foul that was ruled a flagrant? I mean the officiating was horrible on both sides tonight.

No, with my logic he was stagnant because he was gassed.

Cavs blew out the raptors at home, raptors won early on in the season without the cavs having Kyrie or Shump, and the cavs would've won this as well if the officiating wasn't horrible and the cavs closed out better. I'm not sure who the ball was supposed to go to, but it clearly looked like Lebron didn't want to shoot it after he got the ball. I wouldn't give it to Lebron with just 3 seconds on the clock because he needs time to get his shot up while balancing himself. I would've definitely given it to JR because of his quick release.

Don't be such a sour puss... Toronto played better tonight NBA always has horrible officiating and Mathew D is the most dirty player in the league definitely top 3 for sure so he got what was coming to him.

Carroll will make a difference... he'll space out of the floor with his 3 point shooting and his one on one defense is above average for sure... Last year Atlanta's system didn't match up well against Cleveland... Toronto is a whole different story with Carroll in the starting line up James Johnson and Carroll can split the mins on Lebron making Lebron work twice as hard.

Cleveland is not that great of a road team and if they don't finish with the number 1 seed I can see Toronto pushing them to a 7 game series.

Lol Chicago don't kill me let's see if they even make the playoffs the way that team plays its a lot more down then up...

Toronto is clearly the 2nd best team in the East tonight proved it Cleveland knows it... what we saw was a Eastern Conference Finals preview.

That's 10 in a row for Toronto at home and 25 in a row when holding opponents under 100 WE THE NORTH... WE THE FOURTH.

I'm not being a sourpuss, I'm being realistic. Kyle Lowry had to go nuts to beat the cavs by 2 points, and there were many reasons that allowed the raptors to get back in the game with 4 minutes left on the clock.

Delly is a good defender, not a dirty player. Carroll's defense is overrated, as it was put on display last year in the ECF.

Chicago is enduring injuries at the moment, but I could easily see them being a 6 or 7 seed, which means they would have to face your Raptors if cavs hold on to the first seed.

Raptors are the second best team at the moment, without a doubt, but they still have to get out of the first round first to even face the cavs, and that itself is a challenge for them.

John Wall the best point guard? Where the fuck is John Wall 27-30? Where is he leading his team to a top draft pick LMAO he's shit...

Irving is not a point a guard he's above average scorer and when he's not scoring he's utter shit because his defense is garbage and Lebron gotta make him look better then he actually is.

Lowry is the best PG in the East and he hasn't had one good he's been doing it all season he's in the best shape of his life he lost a lot of weight his mind set and goals are different this season you can see it in his play style...

Cleveland's point guard will always be Lebron, Irving is just a scorer that's it.

He can't do it alone. He's averaging better stats than Lowry from a point guard perspective, and has a higher career high in points than Lowry this season, and against golden state nonetheless.

I agree he's not a point guard, but he's positioned as such. He's the best 1 vs 1 scorer in the nba by far(don't mention steph curry, he needs screens). Comparing him and lowry offensively would be comical and disrespectful to him.

John Wall has better point guard stats than him, and Kyrie is a better scoring than him. Overall, he's probably the better than the two as a compact player, but I can't say he's the best point guard in the east, because he's not.

I wouldn't mind the Raptors playing Chicago in the first round... Just because Chicago somehow always beats us in the regular season by miracles doesn't mean it would happen in the playoffs...

Rose, Butler and Gasol would get crazy heavy minutes because of all the injuries over a 7 game series Raptors would wear and tear them down they just don't got the man power to beat Raptors 4 times in the playoffs... Actually they can't beat anyone they got man handled tonight against Atlanta.

The only team that you could say 100% they will beat the Raptors is Cleveland but even Cleveland I would lean more on like 75%...

If Cleveland finishes first by all means they should make it to the finals because at home they are elite... but if by some miracle they tie or Raptors over take them I would expect at least a game 6 if not 7.

But in the end it doesn't matter because nobody is beating Golden State 4 times lol how do you stop a team with a man who can pull up from half court every night and drop 30+ points like he's taking candy from a baby.

But.. The raptors haven't made it out the first round in how long?

    Lol

The series wouldn't go farther than 6 games. There is a reason why the bulls swept you this season from a series perspective, it's because you don't match up well with them.

Bulls, pacers, pistons, heat, and celtics could beat the raptors in a 7 game series. It's never a 100% with any series, I'd give them all a good chance to beat the raptors though.

Whatever you say, but the playoffs are a different atmosphere. The raptors have yet to show what they're capable of doing in the post season.

Cavs are one ankle injury away from being title favorites. Golden state still has to go through the west, so the wear and tear will be there if the top teams are healthy. Never say never.

Yea but the Raptors are built for the Playoffs this season last season they weren't they were very offense heavy...

Raptors got a top 10 offense and a top 10 defense the only other team in the East with those numbers is Cleveland and it takes a team with top 10 in both ends of the floor to go deep in the playoffs as history has shown.

You know what they say? 3rd times the charm... There's just no way this Raptors team can lose in the first round I can't imagine any scenario where that would happen unless we get some series injuries.

Chicago would be a tough break for the Raptors in the first round but the Raptors are the better team and they should win the series by all means.

Holy shit Washington raped Cleveland dam... I told you guys Irving is shit and he can't guard his position.

Elite two way point guards will have amazing games against the Cav's always because Irving doesn't play defence lol.

Oh they decided to rest Lebron looool big mistake now the Raptors are even closer to that number 1 spot.

Ya looks like klow and lebron both needed some time off after that game and it cost both the raptors and cavs..

Really though no excuses from the raptors, just got outplayed and outhustled by the pistons. Silver lining from this game from a homer's eyes is that Ross is slowly developing into a very consistent 3rd scoring option, and I can see Delon being a capable backup PG, just needs a few more games in the rotation.

Lebron shows again why he is the most valuable player for like the 11th year in a row. Without lebron, his team is a lottery team at best. Without steph curry, his team is probably a 6th seed at best.

There is a rumored report saying Kyrie is unhappy with the situation in Cleveland. If this true, there is no way they win this year.
