$100 donor perks

No.. really? I thought polls showed something else.

OT: I'm only a $5 donor atm, but some new perks wouldn't hurt. I'd be interested in seeing some more suggestions too, but I can't think of any myself

 

I know some of you don't like the idea of mini ranks, instead if inplementing a specific mini rank, a donor could choose one from those already available?

 

Mini-ranks are worthless, I wouldn't pay anything to obtain one, or even care to have an option as a perk (unless miniranks were deleted and actually perceived as valuable).

There should be something else that entices folk to donate up to $100, however from what you suggested, the only plausible thing that may happen is an increased PM box.

Donor icons won't be reduced to under $300, and increased avatar size additions are part of the staff CP, so I don't see that happening/

 

actually i believe that increased pm box is not possible. dont quote me on this but i am pretty sure.

Instead of a $25.00 perk, how about just make SVU a $100.00 perk?

 

I don't think that would really work, personally. SVU should, in theory, be achievable by as many members as possible as a potential security measure (possibly not the right phrase, can't think of another). $100 is a lot of money to many users I imagine, so doesn't seem reasonable to expect them to pay $100 for SVU.

Additionally, SVU seems to me to benefit other users more than the user who is verified.. So this doesn't really seem like a 'perk' worth paying $100 for.

I don't have a clue what a new perk could be, I would just disagree with it being SVU. I am considering a $50/$100 donation though, so am following this thread.

 

No support - SVU should be lowered tbh. It's a great thing that shows legitness

Miniranks I wouldn't pay for tbh, they're a sign of interaction and inclusiveness within the sythe community that should be earned and not bought.

 

i dont really feel its needed, but a small extra perk cant really do any harm, as long as its nothing to major which makes the $200-300 donations less appealing

I think the current perks for things are fine, why fix something that isn't broke. I'm not sure why someone would say SVU should be lowered since it's only $5. I wouldn't mind a "minirank" saying $100+ donor maybe?

 

Its not a fix its an addition. Do you think an enhanced user title will make people upgrade their $50 to a $100 rank? I don't think so

Well no but remember a donation is a donation, you don't do it for personal gain. So technically people can't complain about donation perks since IMO we should just get rid of all perks and make it x amount donor as all you get.

 

What I ment was say you did donate more it would just change to a higher number, not that hard to prolly add.

No of course not. Most people donate for perka only. Removing most of the perks would make sythe miss out a lot of donations.

 

Well I think that comes down to server space, globals only have 2k space and I am almost covered half that. I mean isn't it 500 for donors now and it's 1000 for mods so I'm assuming then it would have to go up too.

 

Yep up for donors and mods. And server space really isnt the problem. 1000 messages won't take much server space at all.

 

I wouldn't mind getting more inbox space, I try to keep mine lower but it's been hard since I get 10+ messages when I get online a day it feels like everyone feels the need to pm me
