Why is Suicide illegal?

!!!! IT's JUST IN! The American revolution to get away from the British's taxes, punishments and other things was ALL A CONSPIRACY!!!! IT's really because the British were trying to convert the whole American population to Christianity!



Just because 1 amendment says something doesnt mean the country was founded on it.

 

no offense to any americans as 1 of my best mates are american but ffs your rules are so f**cked up that wen i went to visit america the cops were racist as hell.me being moari but not having a dark skin colour found it highly offensive walking past some police and on there radio some1 had been mugged. the reacted like by packing up there stuff and then when they heard it was a "negro" they didnt do anything.

i was absolutely appalled.

and no i dont think it should be illegal to commit suicide.

 

suicide is just stupid in the first place, they arrest you to save your life, well thats my opinion

He means that if you aint wearing your seatbelt you are risking your life if you have an accident, and it was your choice to not weat the belt so basically your looking death in the eyes.

Here's the thing, though - do you really have a right to prevent me from carrying out my own will?

 

Committing suicide is just retarded and the easy way out.. No matter how hard your life is ( I have had some terrible things happen, and one going on) I have never once tried to commit suicide. Even having a family member die, your life destroyed is no reason to kill yourself.

I think it should be legal, but the people who want to do it, should at least have to see some other peoples shitty lives. I went last summer to Africa for a humanitarian trip for 6 days, and I saw the saddest things. My dad is currently on a terminal cancer, he has 3 tumors, un-removable, and they give him 2 years, max. I don't go bitching saying life's unfair, because eventually someones gotta take that hit.

 

I agree that would encourage you to kill yourself because you would be more angry/sad. I don't see how being locked up would help your own feelings.

I think it should only be legal if your going to die in under a month.

 

most people dont try to kill themselves they do something to get attention. and if they cut themselves or something for attention then they get punished. if not and they actually wanna kill themselves nothing or no one will stop them

 

I tryed to kill myself once, I was not in a state of mind that would be able to stop myself a lot of things happend, but I also got sentenced to a mental hut for 2 years and have a criminal record...at the time I endangered no one, this should not be illegal at all, the people just need help not a criminal sentence, this only adds on to them wanting to harm themselves putting them under pressure.

It's illegal because suicide is taking a life, even if it's your own.
