Why do you think people scam?

That generally sounds dodgy... but yeah your right its not just virtual markets which scammers occur. Even in stores you find people who haggle managers or staff to try either get a refund or some kind of compensation.

 

People scam because they are stupid.

Why would you give up the opportunity to make potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars, just for a quick $50?

Not to mention the fact that some people online are extremely tech savy and could get your personal info/rat your computer with a little work. You never know who's on the opposite side of the screen and what they're capable of.

 

Lazy to work for money

 

people scam because they are to lazy to work for there own money and are selfish and don't think about how the person they scammed fells

 

Because some people feel like they can scam random people for the fact they have been scammed theirselves once so they feel to have the right to scam other people which is actually pretty sad

Because people don't feel any consequence from stealing something from someone online.

 

Scamming doesn't cost them anything really.. other than their souls!

 

So they can get free shit? Is this even a question? They want free shit, simple as that.

 

You know I'm not too sure. I feel that people in-game get the same kind of pleasure from scamming as some people do being mean/abusive/ etc things like that in real life. A lot of people have considerably odd mind sets and get an 'evil' pleasure from doing things of this nature. And some people just say screw you, thanks for da gps. I actually had a 'friend' I met on runescape but we talked about everyday, texted, played RS together etc. He asked to borrow 50m and of course I said sure, haven't spoken to him since that night. He didn't even put me on ignore, just completely avoided me in any case. Deleted me off any social media and hasn't spoke to me. I'm all about having a sensible amount of money on the game, but I'd never choose it over a friend, even if I met the person on the game. People are odd creatures.

 

They just wanna make a quick buck without worrying about consequences

 

Some people scam for a living as it is their only form of income, some people do it because they see an opportunity to fuck over a friend and they let greed cloud their judgement.

 

No moral compass

 

Jealousy and not having the proper skills to make fast money, main reasons lol

In my position, I felt like I had no way out... turns out I was a fool.

 

I once did this and didn't own the account. Owner racked up tons of spins on my card and all i could do was cancel the card. Interesting comment from the rest

I'm assuming the way scammers think is somewhat the same as the way pkers think when you have only 3 items on you and they still kill you knowing they'll get no loot and then say 'ezzzzz', simply because they're the most useless fks in the world with no actual bright future.
