Why do people still play RuneScape..?

Why do you guys still play? The game sucks nowadays... Plus its ruined enough with all the updates already..

 

Because it's a very addictive game. It's one of those game's where EVERYONE wants to be the best, and that's only possible to achieve if you play for a very long time, doing very tedious activities. Runescape is probably one of the hardest to quit games. But I quit.

 

I played for almost 7 years and managed to definetely quit it around 2 months ago. Was a hard decision but all I did was sell my accounts and remove java from my computer But I dont understand why people still wants to play with all these new crappy updates

 

I play because I enjoy it? I'm pretty sure that's why most people play games.

 

They probably have nothing better to do, that's mostly why I used to play it.

And I have quit RuneScape too around 2 months ago.
It just changed too much, it's not fun anymore.

 

Runescape has gotten a lot better with the updates however, with this EOC update coming out it might mess everything up and take a lot of RS players off the game.

 

I'd say honestly a lot of people play it through addiction. They get used to the time that Rs takes up and are not sure what to do if they didn't have RS. In the last month I've spent about 3 hours on runescape and maybe an hour in the lobby and it's been great.

 

i play because its a fun game, idk why trolls like you bash the game because of every update. RS will continue whether u like it or not.

 

The real question why do you come on to a runescape based website to talk shit about the game?

I mainly just play to pvm and slay and occasionally do some pvp on my range 2her i still find it fun, if you dont leave and stop asking stupid questions about a game you are supposedly done with, chances are you are playing it right now.

I play it because the game is fun to me, if I find the right people to play with the community is good if not better than those of WoW or other stupid MMOs.

 

It's a chill game. I play it when I'm bored and just want to chill. I'm also in a decent clan which is full of relatively muture people (summoning tanks) so tend not to look for bad community in the game, just stick with the ones who just want to have fun on a dieing game.

 

I'm glad to admit that I haven't been addicted to this game since four years ago. I still play private servers here and there but it doesn't get me hooked.

 

This game is incredibly fun if you are playing with a group of friends you know well. Even boring things like fletching can be fun if you are chilling with like 3-4 people on skype, talking about random stuff.

I start again occasionally because of the Nostalgia.
Once I finished all the quests that I've completed before I quit, I quit again

the process is endless and repeats all the time.

 

Although the addition of squeal of greed and the crappy eoc are here to stay. I still find myself coming back to this game it's just hard to quit. Every once in awhile I will quit for half a year but I always seem to come back

 

I guess by now it's just a habit...have been playing years.

 

It's a great pass time when you're bored.

It's addictive - I'm very confident in the fact that I'm going to be able to still play after the EoC but it will be a skiller as I really do not like the combat update in ANY WAY whatsoever.

 

I quit about a month ago, mainly to try and focus on school studies.

Still, from March-August i really began getting sick of the game due to jagex's recent updates, and all my friends were quitting too.
